Looking for a Momentum Financials Data Analyst to support financial data analysis, reporting, and client interactions for Veterans Affairs. Responsibilities include developing reporting requirements, testing data solutions, and training end users.

Trilogy Federal is looking for a remote Momentum Financials Data Analyst with knowledge and experience in federal financial management data from Momentum Financials to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role comes with a focus on supporting external customers with analyzing current data and reporting needs, developing functional requirements, implementing and testing data and reporting solutions, and supporting end users with the use and analysis of financial data. We are seeking candidates for a hybrid-location role in Arlington, VA or for full-time remote work.
Please note, this position is contingent upon award (likely September 2025).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support external customers with analyzing current data and reporting business needs, developing reporting requirements, implementing data management and reporting solutions, and supporting end users.
- Provide federal financial data subject matter expertise using Momentum Financials.
- Develop reports and data management tools using Power BI, Pyramid Analytics, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, and DAX.
- Review and analyze data and audit requests from end users and compile the requested data from Momentum financials and other VA systems.
- Develop and update guides, training tools, reconciliation approaches, and standard operating procedures for reports and data tools from Momentum financials and other VA systems.
- Conduct analysis on the quality of data in Momentum financials and test the migration of data from FMS and other VA systems to Momentum financials.
- Provide functional support for system testing, such as developing test scenarios and documentation, performing validation testing for Momentum Financials reports as well as any VA-specific reports and data sources.
- Support new client-requested initiatives, such as analyzing reporting requirements, developing design documentation, and training and supporting end users with system functionality.
- Attend and participate in meetings with client stakeholders. Potentially lead client meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Developer supporting reporting and data management efforts, including requirements analysis, report design, validation, and testing.
- 4+ years of experience with Momentum Financials data and table structures.
- Experience with some or all of the following tools: Power BI, Pyramid Analytics, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, and DAX.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior level management and clients.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- An outstanding ability to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
- 4-year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or similar.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- VA experience preferred.
- Experience with Federal finance and accounting processes, including monthly reporting, budget execution, and financial audit responses.
- Experience working in an Agile environment (SAFe preferred).
