The Regional Vice President, Sales is responsible for achieving results by guiding, mentoring, coaching, supporting and empowering the front-line sales leaders who are their direct reports (Director and Sr. Directors, Sales).

Primary Accountabilities:

Leadership (60%)

  • Oversee a sales team and engages with their teams to develop account specific and national strategies and growth objectives that achieve revenue goals.
  • Support the sales team in developing and executing specific deal strategies and negotiations; ensure they are equipped to handle issues and address roadblocks encountered by their team and serve as an effective point of escalation.
  • Promote the use of various resources, within and outside of Inmar, to obtain account and industry research and analytics to inform sales strategies.
  • Encourage and drive the sales team to appropriately engage with the Brand sales team, Customer Excellence, Finance  and Operations to ensure a smooth end to end process.
  • Regularly engage with the sales team to assess their performance against goals, identify areas for needed growth and improvement, and provide guidance on career progression.
  • Ensure the sales team regularly conduct performance assessments and that their sellers are aware of their career progression path; be accountable for compliance with all internal policies regarding compensation.
  • Responsible for hiring and onboarding new sales leaders; effectively utilize the services and support of internal departments such as HR, Sales Enablement, etc. 
  • Responsible for nurturing the team culture, providing opportunities for front-line leaders and their teams to engage in team building, team collaboration and related activities

Strategic (20%)

  • Continually encourage utilization of internal and external resources to provide valuable industry, market, and segment knowledge; help leaders effectively use the information to inform and motivate their teams.
  • Establish and expand strategic relationships with clients and prospects; continually look for business issues and opportunities where Inmar can engage.
  • Proactively gather and represent the Voice of the Customer by effectively collaborating with Client Services, Marketing, and Product Management leaders to share customer and competitive information and insights; ensure senior leaders and stakeholders understand this research.
  • Exhibit a growth mindset; proactively implement strategies to help the team remain current, nimble and positive.
  • Ensure information received from top down regarding sales organization and product vision is not only communicated but is thoroughly understood by leaders and all team members; lead through transformative events, keeping the team focused and together.
  • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to build, grow and maintain market recognition and thought leadership for Inmar.

Operational (20%)

  • Regularly review sales database information for customer and prospect opportunities; proactively manage the sales pipeline; develop and review budgets.
  • Provide effective upward communication to inform sales leadership on client and personnel matters of importance to that level; proactively contribute to sales opportunities such as new business, renewals, or expansions.
  • Emphasize consistent execution of sales best practices; focus leaders on the most logical path towards revenue growth; help them interpret sales signals and assess pipeline health.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field required
  • 10+ years of experience in sales or marketing with at least 6 years successfully managing a sales team; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position required
  • Demonstrated experience in expanding business relationships in a highly competitive environment required
  • Strong decision making, knowing when to leverage additional resources to move deals past obstacles
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com
  • Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite producing professional business correspondence, proposals and reports
