We are seeking a proven sales leader to guide a team of high-performing Sales Managers to record sales and customer success.
This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the North East Region of the United States with preference to live in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, or the North Atlantic states.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead the North East region consisting of multiple territories across our Tier 3 customers.

  • Sell to new and established Calix customers

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to continue to blaze a new trail in next-generation business applications.  

  • Ensure that your team has all the tools necessary to deliver on the ambitious business goals Calix has set for them.

  • Manage the day-to-day and week-to-week operations of the sales team.

  • Ensuring sales best practices are brought to bear to support high velocity, and high quality, sales performance.

  • Bring your sales leadership experience to the team as you coach, develop and support their growth as sales professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel.

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience.

  • Track record of leading teams who over-achieving quota (top 10-20% of company) in past positions.

  • In depth understanding of Broadband Service Provider business.

  • Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the CEO/CFO/CMO level.

  • 10+ years of quota carrying technology sales or pre-sales and account management experience.

  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles, demonstrating ownership of all aspects of territory management.

  • Candidates must be competitive, cooperative, collaborative, and work well with customers both internal and external.

  • Strong computer skills, including salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Future travel expectations: 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing or selling into Broadband Service Providers.

  • Previous Sales Methodology training, CRM experience, and strong customer references preferred.

  • Bachelor and/or master’s degree preferred.

Location:

  • Remote position in the North East region of the United States. Must live in territory.

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

There are different ranges applied to specific locations. The average base pay range (or OTE range for sales) in the U.S. for the position is listed below.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

341,000.00 - 512,000.00 USD Annual

National Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:

296,000.00 - 444,000.00 USD Annual

Regional plus NY:

266,000.00 - 399,000.00 USD Annual
