About The RoleWe are seeking a strategic and results-driven Regional Vice President of Sales to lead and expand our sales organization across key markets. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of Sales Directors and Managers, responsible for driving growth, executing regional sales strategies, and achieving retail value targets. As a senior leader, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in Merchandising, Marketing, and Retail to ensure profitable supply generation for The RealReal. You will play a critical role in shaping the direction of the sales organization while upholding the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.

  • Lead & Inspire: Manage and develop a large team of sales representatives and leaders, setting a clear vision and fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.

  • Develop Leadership Talent: Build strong, capable sales leaders who consistently drive performance within their teams through effective coaching and development.

  • Drive Accountability: Ensure leaders and teams are consistently meeting sales targets through performance management and strategic support.

  • Strategic Planning: Design and implement long- and short-term sales strategies aligned with company goals and policies, maintaining ongoing communication with key stakeholders.
    Client Engagement: Cultivate relationships with high-value clients to acquire luxury inventory and support monthly sales goals.

  • Talent Acquisition & Development: Lead hiring, training, and performance management processes to build a best-in-class sales organization.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, and Retail teams to align efforts and resolve challenges.

  • Problem Solving: Identify and address operational and performance-related issues to ensure team and organizational success.

  • Territory Management: Collaborate with regional and functional partners to exceed territory sales goals and optimize market coverage.

  • Sales Strategy: Guide the development of innovative sales and prospecting techniques to drive new business and achieve growth targets.

  • Business Development: Represent the company at events and with partners to promote consignment services and attract new clients.

  • Relationship Building: Establish partnerships with private clients, businesses, and organizations to support product acquisition and referral generation.

  • Budget Oversight: Collaborate with the Head of Sales to manage budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources for prospecting and sales efforts.

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be located in the Eastern time zone

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including managing large, high-performing teams

  • Proven track record of leading a business or business unit with $500M+ in revenue

  • Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels

  • Deep experience in P&L ownership and financial accountability

  • Enthusiasm for Luxury Resale, high touch service level environments

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms

  • Leadership experience in e-commerce, retail, or omnichannel business models

  • Background in consumer-driven marketplaces or two-sided platforms

  • Advanced education in Business Administration

The expected salary range for this role is $235,000-$250,000. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
