POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President of FP&A, the Regional Vice President of Finance serves as the strategic financial leader for the region, translating performance data into actionable insights and decisions. The role oversees regional planning, forecasting, and performance management, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and long-range plans.

In close coordination with the Vice President of FP&A, the position will partner daily with the Regional Executive Vice President (who oversee the Resort Presidents) to optimize annual operating and capital planning, drive financial performance, and enhance forecasting across the region. This will be achieved through direct and constant communication with Resort Finance Leaders. Further, the role will work in collaboration with the broader regional support teams which includes commercial/revenue management, operations optimization, and IT. In addition, the role will be a key contributor to the implementation of strategic growth initiatives including work force management and procurement.

This position can be located remotely within the region it supports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Planning & Budgeting

  • Provide strategic leadership for the annual budgeting and forecasting process across all resorts within the region, ensuring full alignment with enterprise financial objectives and long-range plans.

  • Partner with Regional Executive Vice Presidents (REVPs) to develop integrated financial and strategic plans that balance growth, profitability, and guest experience.

  • Challenge and validate key assumptions, ensuring consistency in forecasting methodologies and performance drivers across all resorts.

Business Performance Management

  • Oversee the development of standardized monthly and quarterly performance reports for REVPs, Resort Presidents, and the CFO, distilling complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.

  • Continuously monitor regional financial performance, including P&L, revenue, margin, and cost structure, benchmarking results across resorts to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of risk.

  • Drive accountability for performance outcomes by partnering with Resort and Shared Services leaders to define corrective actions and optimize operational and financial results.

Post-Mortem Analysis & Strategic Review

  • Partner with REVPs and Resort Presidents of Operations and Lodging (RPOL) to assess the ROI of key initiatives such as F&B programs, procurement strategies, retail promotions, and capital investments.

  • Identify underperforming programs or assets, recommend course corrections, and ensure capital resources are prioritized toward initiatives that deliver measurable enterprise value.

  • Lead ad-hoc analysis to support margin improvement, capital allocation, and long-term investment decisions.

Financial Partnership, Governance & Capability Building

  • Serve as a strategic financial advisor to regional and resort leadership teams, ensuring alignment between operational decisions and financial outcomes.

  • Partner with Central Finance to shape regional capital plans that balance growth ambitions with fiscal discipline and stakeholder return expectations.

  • Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies, internal controls, and reporting standards, serving as the first line of review for resort-level financials prior to consolidation.

  • Build financial acumen across the region by mentoring Resort Finance Leaders and providing tools, training, and frameworks that strengthen analytical and strategic decision-making capability.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, IT, and Operations leaders to integrate financial insights into broader business strategies that enhance profitability, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of progressive FP&A/finance experience in regional or multi-site operations (e.g., hospitality/resorts, travel, retail, consumer services) with a track record of improving forecast accuracy, budget discipline, and profitability

  • 5–8+ years leading and developing high-performing teams (analysts/managers); builds cadence, standards, and best-practice sharing across locations

  • Expert financial modeling and analysis skills (driver-based planning, variance analysis, benchmarking, ROI) and the ability to translate insights into clear actions and course-corrections with REVPs and Resort Presidents

  • Mastery of planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles and monthly/quarterly reporting; designs standardized reporting packs and dashboards that scale across resorts

  • Strong grasp of accounting/GAAP, internal controls, and governance; comfortable as first-line reviewer of resort financials and escalation of systemic risks

  • Capital planning expertise, including business case development (ROI/IRR/NPV), portfolio prioritization, and post-mortem reviews to drive accountability and improvement

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); familiarity with enterprise planning/reporting systems (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive/Workday Planning) and SQL a plus

  • Executive communication and storytelling skills; proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders (REVPs, Resort Presidents, Central Finance, RPOL) and drive alignment

  • Process-improvement orientation; establishes benchmarking frameworks, variance management routines, and controls to ensure consistency and data quality across resorts

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a seasonal, fast-paced environment; high integrity and judgment

  • Professional/lived experience working in a culturally competent manner with a broad range of people and ensuring inclusive team practices

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Preferred: Advanced credentials such as MBA, CPA, and/or CFA

  • Experience: 15+ years relevant professional experience, including 3–5+ years of people leadership; prior experience in hospitality/resorts or other multi-site, consumer-facing businesses strongly preferred

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base salary range (may vary by location): $226,000 - $280,000 per year
