Senior Vice President, Western Region
Reports to: Deputy Chief Program Officer (DCPO)
Location: Flexible (preferred in one of our West markets)

Responsible Areas: Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, San Francisco


Position Summary

The Regional Senior Vice President (RSVP) will provide strategic leadership and oversight across multiple training sites within the Western region. This role ensures that each site achieves sustainability, meets annual KPIs, and delivers high-quality outcomes aligned with organizational goals. The RSVP will work closely with Managing Directors (MDs) and the Training Support Team (TST) to guide site performance, drive fundraising efforts, and implement regional growth strategies. A key focus of this role is supporting MDs in building empowered local teams, cultivating strong employer and community partnerships, and maintaining alignment with national priorities while responding to unique regional market conditions and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight & Leadership (MD+)

  • Lead and coach a team of Managing Directors across the Western region, ensuring professional development, accountability, and strategic alignment.
  • Support MDs in achieving annual KPIs, including learner enrollment, graduation, certification attainment, and job placement outcomes.
  • Oversee operational effectiveness across all regional sites, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery of programs and learner services.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Western region sites and national teams, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage interim leadership transitions at sites as needed, ensuring continuity and organizational stability.
  • Support the development of a positive, empowerment-focused culture within local teams and learner communities.
  • Represent the DCPO internally and externally, making executive-level decisions, managing workflows, and handling sensitive information as appropriate.

Strategic Growth & Implementation

  • Partner with Managing Directors to develop and execute a regional strategic plan that advances organizational priorities and regional market opportunities.
  • Align local site goals with national strategy while balancing growth, sustainability, and program innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with National Development and Customized Training teams to ensure delivery of regional commitments.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other performance management platforms to monitor KPIs, track progress, and recognize site achievements.
  • Conduct market-specific analysis across Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver,  and SF to identify workforce trends, employer demand, and emerging industry opportunities.
  • Drive regional implementation of customized training programs that align with local employer needs and organizational growth goals.

Regional Fundraising

  • Oversee fundraising strategies for Western region sites, guiding MDs in building and sustaining diverse funding portfolios.
  • Set and monitor regional fundraising targets across foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, public funding, and earned revenue.
  • Support the development and strengthening of local Advisory Boards to expand community engagement and fundraising capacity.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to MDs in the design and execution of local fundraising events, employer engagement strategies, and donor cultivation efforts.
  • Ensure alignment between regional and national fundraising efforts to maximize organizational sustainability and impact.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of proven track record of leading multi-site teams and managing complex regional operations.
  • 7-10 years demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and scaling impact.
  • Strong fundraising background with experience securing and managing multi-million dollar revenue goals.
  • Working knowledge of workforce development, business, and technology sector trends.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and executive decision-making skills.
  • Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and empowerment-centered leadership.

    LI#- Remote 

    For this position, our target salary is $155,000, with a range of $150,000 to $155,000. The variation in compensation typically hinges on factors such as the candidate's geographic location and their qualifications and experience that align with the role.
