Description

Today’s world faces increasing security challenges. Threat actors are everywhere – often invisible, virtual, and highly sophisticated. Traditional methods to prevent and investigate crime are no longer enough… Technology is evolving at an unprecedented pace. Those who engage in illicit activities know this and are taking advantage. We know it too.

For nearly 30 years, the incredible minds of Cognyte around the world have worked closely together, applying their expertise to keep up with constantly evolving technological and security challenges. Our mission is to help make the world a safer place with leading investigative analytics software solutions.

We are currently looking for a  Sales Manager – ROCA (LATAM, except Brazil and Mexico).

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced regional sales manager to drive the growth of our intelligence, cyber, and investigative solutions within the defense, law enforcement, cyber, and intelligence markets across governmental institutions.

The role includes managing existing territories while expanding into new markets, leveraging innovative business strategies, account management, and sales forecasting. The successful candidate will lead both direct and channel sales efforts to achieve individual sales quotas and create impactful solutions tailored to customers' operational needs.

This role requires close collaboration with governmental authorities, law enforcement agencies (LEA), distributors, partners, integrators, resellers, and agents across Mexico. The candidate must be comfortable building relationships across diverse cultural and organizational landscapes while frequently traveling across the region (up to 75%).

As a Cognyter, you will:

  • Develop and manage regional sales plans to meet annual quotas and growth objectives.
  • Lead new business development strategies to identify and close opportunities.
  • Establish and manage partnerships, channels, and regional programs to foster success.
  • Maintain effective relationships with key customers, maximizing revenue through system expansions and upgrades.
  • Design and implement marketing and sales strategies to penetrate new markets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging technical expertise to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor sales pipelines and provide accurate forecasts and timely reporting of activities.

Requirements

For that mission, you’ll need:

  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Proven experience in B2G sales in the region, preferably with a focus on security technologies, data analytics, or software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present effectively and persuasively and engage with decision-makers in senior and C-level positions.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is a must; additional languages are a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of sales experience in account management and business development, specifically with governmental customers in national security or law enforcement.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity solutions. Having served as an Intelligence Officer is a plus.
  • A successful track record in selling complex intelligence/defense/security technology solutions.
  • Comprehensive experience in both direct and indirect sales, leveraging partnerships and networks.
  • A proactive, independent approach with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with the buying processes in the governmental and security sectors.

If you are passionate about making a difference in public safety and are ready to take on a challenging role in the security solutions sales sector, we invite you to apply and join our team at Cognyte. This is an exciting opportunity to excel in a leading company in the data analysis and security sector.
