Lead regional sales for Fiber Glass Systems in the Rockies/PNW, managing reps and distributors, developing project-specific strategies, driving CRM-based pipeline management, training partners, coordinating with operations and construction, visiting customer sites, and meeting sales quotas for fiberglass piping and tank solutions.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting the sales objectives for Fiber Glass System business unit within NOV in the Rockies/PNW US region and customers in the Chemical & Industrial market. This role leads sales activity in the region with independent area sales managers, representatives & distributors, developing project specific sales strategies and communicating project requirements to the company’s manufacturing operations, construction divisions and management team.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and achieve Fiber Glass Systems sales and business development objectives for fiberglass piping and tank solutions in the assigned region.
- Target new customers, new applications and follow on sales leads.
- Assists in establishing a realistic sales quota for the assigned region/Customer; generates and maintains sales volume to meet or exceed established quota; prepares sales forecasts.
- Drive disciplined sales execution, including activity tracking, pipeline management, and CRM utilization to deliver regular reporting on sales performance, opportunities, and market conditions.
- Initiate regional sales calls and training seminars with area distributors and representatives
- Instruct distributors, contractors and customers concerning product applications
- Communicate & coordinate with management, peers and Sales Director with regard to cross-region project sales activity requirements.
- Visit customer facilities and/or jobsites to monitor project progress and customer satisfaction.
- Remain current in knowledge of competitive activities including product lines, pricing, services, market penetration.
- Participate in trade shows, customer events within FGS and NOV
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10+ years of relevant technical sales experience, preferably in piping systems, tanks, composites, or related products
- Experience managing independent representatives and distributors.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to engage with technical stakeholders and have excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Previous customer-facing experience.
- Candidate must be able to work independently in a home-based office.
- Significant domestic travel is required. Overnight Travel required 25%.
- Work may require evening and weekend work
- Valid US driver’s license and safe driving history
