We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director who will play a pivotal role in owning the entire customer journey from demand generation, through purchase and product use, along with leading the sales team for the Eastern region. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is passionate about building out and developing a sales team, developing process efficiencies, and serving customers. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in sales leadership. Experience with genomics and capital equipment is a must. This role will report to the SVP of Sales and will be a Remote role. If you possess the following and want to make a meaningful impact, we invite you to explore this role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Posses in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Life Sciences Tools market and knowledge of competitive products in the Next Generation Sequencing space and adjacencies
  • Establishes and executes on strategies for obtaining new customers and maintains/grows existing customer accounts in order to meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Demonstrates capability to present versatile and unique solutions during customer negotiations in order to establish mutually beneficial circumstances for the customer and Element
  • Excellent communicator with best-in-class customer service skills who can quickly navigate any situation to reach desired goals
  • Work with leaders across the company and sales team to ensure the East region hits all sales and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the regional marketing department to establish campaigns, design print and online promotional materials for the company's products and services
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring field teams and develop and execute training and onboarding programs
  • Coordinate sales interactions with Customer Support and Marketing organizations to ensure great end-to-end customer experiences
  • Manage sales budgets, set quarterly and annual sales goals: you will work with Finance and Commercial Operations team to ensure that team and individual goals are measured and rewarded and provide detailed sales forecasting to Finance and Operations
  • Monitor the market and competitor products and activities
  • Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs, and improve customer satisfaction

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science or business-related field required; Graduate degree in a life science or business-related field may be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Sales leadership position in Life Science
  • Start-up or early-stage company experience ideal
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally across regions and across departments
  • Strong managerial experience with proven experience building teams and driving revenue

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds

Location:

  • Remote – Eastern Region

Travel: 

  • Domestic travel up to 50%

Job Type:

  • Full-time/Exempt

Base Compensation Pay Range:

  • $190,000 - $200,000

In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, commission, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off. 


Please note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
