The Regional Perishable Operations Manager will report directly to the Sr Director of Perishables. This multi-unit field leadership role is responsible for overseeing and driving a high level of execution and operational excellence within a network of clubs. This individual will have financial accountability for the clubs they oversee. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient execution of merchandising priorities, displays, and sales initiatives, while leveraging data-driven insights to optimize processes and enhance overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Executional Excellence:

  • Collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Perishables to ensure the seamless execution of merchandising programs, marketing campaigns, and product flows across all club locations.
  • Work closely with the regional and club teams to maintain consistent standards in quality, ordering, training, and production, fostering a culture of driving sales and enhancing the member experience.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for improvement in club execution and implement merchandising strategies to achieve chain-wide consistency.

Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Achieve Perishable sales and profitability plans for the region by leveraging data to assess sales and profitability performance, merchandising effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to generate actionable insights, identify trends, and address opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clubs, regional teams, and Merchandising teams to analyze sales and merchandising data, resolving any operational challenges or opportunities that may arise.

Team Member Development:

  • Develop Club Manager, Fresh Manager, and Meat Manager skills to drive consistently high levels of execution, operational excellence, and member service
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing data analysis of trends, strength, and opportunities

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Establish strong communication channels with the Sr. Director of Perishables, CSC team, Club Operations, and DC Operations to address concerns, share insights, and align on strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to ensure product selection and offerings align with merchandising segmentation strategy

Training and Succession Planning:

  • Work collaboratively with the Sr Director and Talent team to drive high execution of training programs that focus on increasing sales, improving efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Assist in succession planning efforts, identifying and positioning potential candidates for leadership roles within Fresh operations.
  • Participate in new club openings to ensure Merchandising & Training consistency with new Team Members Support of the training organization, develop plans to transfer knowledge to club Team Members on perishable areas, from Club Managers to perishable Team Members

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in BJ's IS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Previous experience in perishable goods merchandising and operations is advantageous.

The Regional Manager or Fresh Operations will play a crucial role in driving the success and efficiency of fresh operations at BJ's Wholesale Club, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $114,500.00.
