About Semgrep

Our mission is to make world-class software security available to everyone. This means building program analysis tools that are open source, easy to use, powerful, and fast. It also means building a team with security expertise and a passion for great developer experiences. Most of all, it means working with honesty and respect in a diverse community of dreamers and builders. We’ve redefined static analysis tooling by committing to all of these, and turned our project, Semgrep, into an essential safeguard for code at Snowflake, Dropbox, and more.

About the role

Semgrep is looking for a Regional Partner Manager (East) to grow our ecosystem of partners who help developers build secure software, faster. Success in this role means enabling and activating partners who share our developer-first mindset to bring Semgrep into their customer base, generate new opportunities, and accelerate adoption across engineering and security teams.

You’ll be responsible for identifying, enabling, and growing strategic partner relationships — with a strong focus on VARs and resellers, while also engaging with technology alliances and marketplaces as part of the broader ecosystem. Working closely with Semgrep’s sales, product, and ecosystem teams, you’ll ensure partners are aligned with our go-to-market strategy and actively driving new opportunities in the region.

Location expectations:

  • US East, US (Remote)

What you’ll do

  • Develop a partner-led growth plan for the East region that connects Semgrep’s mission of developer-first security to partner pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Recruit and activate VARs and resellers who can bring Semgrep to engineering and security buyers, while maintaining productive relationships with tech alliances and marketplaces.
  • Enable partners technically and strategically by working with Partner Solutions Architects to ensure they can confidently represent Semgrep’s developer-first approach to AppSec.
  • Drive partner-sourced opportunities by aligning with Semgrep’s field sellers on joint pursuit of target accounts.
  • Engage with partner leadership and sales teams to make sure Semgrep’s value resonates at all levels — from account reps to executives.
  • Collaborate with field marketing on regional programs, events, and campaigns that highlight how Semgrep empowers developers to ship secure code faster.
  • Stay sharp on product and industry trends — maintaining strong knowledge of Semgrep’s roadmap, competitive landscape, and the evolving AppSec/developer tooling market.
  • Travel as needed within the territory (up to ~50%).

You are ideal for this role if:

  • 5+ years of partner/channel sales experience in AppSec, cybersecurity, or developer tools with a track record of exceeding quota.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling partner relationships that generate measurable pipeline and revenue.
  • A network of trusted connections with decision makers across VARs, resellers, and the broader channel ecosystem.
  • Ability to translate technical value into business outcomes, showing why developer-first security matters for partners and customers alike.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with engineers, partner sales reps, and executives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational, presentation, and collaboration skills.
What we offer

Our goal is to competitively and fairly compensate every Semgrep employee with a system that equally rewards those who are vocal and those who are less comfortable making demands during the final steps of the hiring process. To that end, we generate internal compensation bands that are used when discussing and negotiating salaries. We update these based on market data to make sure they’re above the average for comparable roles.

We also invest in our employees’ well-being and long term success with comprehensive health plans, generous vacation time, 401k, learning stipends, and more. Our benefits are for everyone, so that you’re taken care of, and we work with individuals to make sure they have what they need, whether that’s quiet work space, adjusted hours, or something else.

Who we are

We have people from France and the Philippines, physics and philosophy, formal methods research and full fledged corporations. We’re new parents and new grads, aspiring authors and aspiring Americans, dog lovers and dogfooders. We get together often to bike, bake, and meet up in parks. In our interactions, we believe respect and honesty go hand in hand, and prioritize both.

Semgrep is an equal-opportunity employer seeking a diverse range of backgrounds. We value who you are — including your cultural heritage, your socioeconomic status, your age, your race, your gender, your sexual orientation, your disabilities. We value what’s vitally important to you — your family, your religion, your politics. We value what you love in this world — your music, your weekend pursuits. We believe in welcoming varied professional backgrounds, educations, and interests. If you’re exceptional in your role, believe in Semgrep’s mission, and treat Semgrep’s values as your own, you belong here.
