YOU WILL BE:
The Regional Generalist partners with Store Leadership to support the full People lifecycle across assigned locations. This role plays a critical part in driving store engagement, upholding compliance standards, and delivering consistent People support in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, data entry and processing of tickets for their grouping of stores. They support multiple stores and own the day-to-day People operations at that level. This role works closely with PBP team to implement People initiatives, drive adoption in stores, and ensure alignment and consistency across the region.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Receive store requests to process Store Colleague’s transactions such as wage rate changes, job changes, transfers, and terminations.
Respond and support basic requests from stores
Coordinates and supports the new hire logistical onboarding experience remotely for new employees in partnership with store leadership
Partners with cross-functional teams to audit and track completion of applicable administrative metrics (i.e. yearly compliance requirements, new hire learning, new hire assessments, unemployment claims, workers compensation updates etc)
Ensures applicable documentation for all employee lifecycle changes, including internal offer letters, compensation updates, reporting structure changes, and role transitions are captured and housed within the Workday system
Support global people team initiatives throughout the year (ie, Benefits enrollment, engagement surveys, etc.)
Be available and responsive; provide customer service in a timely and efficient manner
Introduces new ways of optimizing efficiency and effectiveness
Maintain and utilize knowledge of local and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures to to ensure ongoing compliance
Accuracy in keying transactions from a ticket-based system to capture in Workday
Participates in and / or supports Manager with cascading communications to team
Partners with store leadership and TA team to proactively support recruiting activities for both non-exempt and exempt positions as needed
Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):
A minimum 2 years of relevant People Services/Human Resources experience
Basic understanding of key local and federal employment laws
Prioritizes tasks, using effective time management practices to drive team towards established deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a remote and/or hybrid environment
Preferred Qualifications (nice to haves):
Basic proficiency with Workday and Google Product Suite, advanced proficiency preferred
A minimum 4 years of relevant People Services/Human Resources experience
4-year degree preferred
Demonstrates a natural ability to solve problems through strong analytical thinking and organizational discipline
Speaks with truth and candor, challenging the status quo as appropriate
Takes ownership of internal client issues, resolving them quickly while demonstrating excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
Fosters a collaborative environment for associates and builds strong relationships across the organization to drive results.
Supports team in learning and developing job-related skills, including proficiency with technology and digital related tools.
Collaborates with team to consistently enforce policies and procedures while supporting associate understanding
