We’ve helped household names like Target, Samsung, General Mills, and Optum create experiences that have reached millions of people, and startups like HomeSpotter and Credly build entirely new businesses that challenge their industries’ status quo.
We’re looking for a React Native Engineer to join our team.

Who you are
You are a passionate and driven React Native engineer who thrives in the mobile development landscape. You have a solid grasp of both JavaScript and native mobile development principles, allowing you to create seamless cross-platform experiences. You understand the nuances of iOS and Android platforms and can effectively bridge the gap between them. You write clean, maintainable code and prioritize performance and user experience through collaboration with designers and other engineers.

What you will be doing

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
  • Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to implement engaging and intuitive mobile interfaces.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure application stability.
  • Participate in code reviews for teammates.
  • Debug and resolve bugs and performance issues on both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Contribute to technically ambitious projects, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest React Native technologies and mobile development trends.

Why you should apply

  • You want to work with passionate and talented people who are always looking for ways to make things better.
  • You desire a work environment where respect, mutual trust, and egoless collaboration are paramount.
  • You want colleagues who take their work seriously but not themselves and who know how to let loose and have a good time.
  • You like being part of a team that has a reputation for excellence and gives back to the community by educating, mentoring, and sponsoring.
  • You want to work on products and accounts that have outsized impact and reach.
  • You believe in sweating the details, giving a damn about quality, and taking pride in going the extra mile.

What you bring to the table

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in mobile application development, with a focus on React Native.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
  • Strong experience with React and React Native.
  • Strong experience with building and deploying mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Familiarity with native mobile development concepts and tools (Xcode, Android Studio).
  • Work samples demonstrating well-structured, performant, and user-friendly mobile applications.
  • Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical solutions clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • A passion for mobile development and a desire to learn and grow.

Bonus points if you...

  • Have experience with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) development.
  • Have experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile app deployments.
  • Have published apps on the App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Have contributed to open-source projects related to React Native.
  • Have experience with other cross-platform mobile development frameworks (Flutter, Ionic).
  • Enjoy speaking, writing, or educating publicly about mobile development topics.

What to expect
When applying, please include a short note about yourself, a summary of your work experience, and a link to any public profiles you actively maintain (e.g. GitHub, LinkedIn, etc).

Our hiring process moves quickly and consists of several stages for candidates who capture our attention with their initial submission, sometimes including but not limited to a short preliminary phone interview, a series of video interviews, and a short take-home exercise which you'll have up to a week to complete.

Compensation is $90,000 - $120,000 a year.

Additional information
We go out of our way to evaluate all employees and job applicants equally based on merit, competence, and qualifications. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply and consider all qualified applicants.
