The BAE Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer in support of Combat Mission Systems operations to support on the 3rd Shift.
In this role as a Quality Engineer, you will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols in a fast paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring requirements are met throughout the assembly and final operations processes across multiple vehicle platforms primarily supporting the AMPV assembly process.
Note: This position supports on a 9/80 schedule, from Sunday night through Friday morning.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical discipline with two years of related experience, or the overall equivalent;
  • Requires a solid understanding of Quality Assurance / Quality Control fundamentals and principles;
  • Experience operating within ISO 9001 standards;
  • Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis (A3, DMAIC, etc);
  • Proficiency in standard and industry related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications;
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to work 3rd Shift schedule.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • ASQ certification;
  • Experience working in a quality program in support of government contracts, preferably DoD;
  • Formal training in root cause analysis;
  • Experience implementing APQP in a low-rate, technically complex product environment;
  • Experience with TipQA software.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
