We are looking for a talented Quality Coordinator to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Forest City, NC.

Job Summary:

Responsible of conducting internal audits (QMS, Mfg Process Audits, Product Audits) in an organization. Plan and lead trainings, root cause analysis and resolution of non-conformances. Also conduct other QMS related activities needed to perform QMS processes.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

•  Stay ahead of compliance requirements by continuously tracking and interpreting internal process/product updates and external standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, CSRs), ensuring the organization remains audit-ready and aligned with industry expectations.
•  Drive effective audits with a risk-based mindset, applying process-based auditing techniques to identify gaps, prioritize risks, and uncover opportunities for operational and quality improvement.
•  Transform audit data into actionable insights by gathering, analyzing, and clearly reporting audit findings, enabling leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions.
•  Ensure accountability through corrective actions by initiating, approving, and monitoring responses to audit findings, verifying that root causes are addressed and improvements are sustained.
•  Maintain a structured and proactive audit program by owning audit schedules, plans, and records, ensuring full coverage of ISO/IATF internal audits and manufacturing process audits.
•  Lead high-impact QMS and process audits by planning, executing, and (when applicable) leading audits that identify non-conformances and opportunities for improvement (OFIs) to strengthen the QMS.
•  Strengthen quality capability across teams by supporting implementation, auditing, and training on AIAG Core Tools (FMEA, APQP, MSA, SPC, PPAP), building organization-wide competency.
•  Improve problem-solving and process documentation by leading root cause analysis (3P5Y), coaching stakeholders, and supporting the Quality Manual to ensure processes are clearly defined, standardized, and continuously improved.

•  Communicate with clarity and purpose by tailoring your messaging—whether audit reports, training sessions, or leadership updates—to ensure understanding, alignment, and action across all levels of the organization.
•  Maintain a strong customer-first mindset by aligning QMS activities, audits, and improvements with internal and external customer requirements, ensuring consistent delivery of quality products and services.
•  Drive engagement and ownership by creating an environment where stakeholders are motivated, informed, and empowered to take an active role in quality and compliance efforts.
•  Hold yourself and others accountable by setting clear expectations, tracking commitments, and ensuring that corrective actions and audit follow-ups are completed effectively and on time.
•  Influence and persuade stakeholders using data, audit insights, and risk-based thinking to gain buy-in for quality improvements, process changes, and compliance initiatives.
•  Champion Quality Leadership and Systems Management by applying COS and TQM principles, effectively utilizing quality tools, and continuously improving the QMS—while embracing diverse perspectives to strengthen decision-making and overall organizational performance.
Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
•    Associate degree or equivalent business experience. 
•    IATF 16949 + ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Trained. 
•    Six Sigma Green Belt trained and willing to work towards certification. 
•    AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, and MSA) trained
•    This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience: 
•    Demonstrated ability to perform process based and risk-based audits. Initiated, approved and monitored corrective actions associated with audit findings.
•    Planned, performed and led different QMS audits based upon IATF 16949 and ISO 9001. 
•    Performed training on AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC and FMEA).

Qualifications

•    Perform additional responsibilities as per business requirements and assigned. 
•    Perform DC tool calibrations, and maintain calibrations record by working in coordination with gauge lab. 
•    Management of gauges and other quality tools
•    Perform basic data analysis using Microsoft office to maintain quality KPI performance record. 
•    Maintaining document management system. 
•    Support with PPAP and other requirements as per CSR's.
•    Overtime work required as per business needs. 

1st Shift:  Mon-Fri 6:30am - 3:00pm
