Quality Assurance Engineer (T-3)

Job Summary:

Global Enterprise Network Modernization - OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider of global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) contract will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate by designing, maintaining, rapidly deploying, and transitioning a globally orchestrated Software Defined Networking (SDN) solution.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will focus primarily on supporting the AGUN INC1 Program.  The Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure all performance standards, measures, and contract deliverables are in conformance with the contract and performance work statement (PWS), Leidos’ EngineeringEdge NextGen (EENG) standard methodologies, industry standards and best practices, and the AGUN INC1 Quality Control Plan (QCP).  As opportunities to improve process and performance are identified, the QEC Representative will guide the improvement to ensure effective implementation is achieved. In addition, QA Engineer will oversee quality control throughout the full program lifecycle from procurement through installation working closely with cross-functional teams to track, validate, and continuously improve program quality.

The position is expected to be remote and will require travel to various CONUS sites.

Primary Responsibilities are:

Quality Management System (QMS) & Program Integration

  • Support the Quality Manager in the execution of plans and activities that measure compliance with Leidos EngineeringEdge® NextGen policies and standards.
  • Integrate closely with program team members and leadership to continuously implement and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Support program Staff Meetings and reporting requirements.
  • Report on the status of program activities, data, and risks to Program and Leidos Leadership as required.
  • Support other Quality actions and responsibilities across the program as needed.

Performance Monitoring & Compliance Assurance

  • Measure program performance against contractual requirements and ensure alignment with customer mission objectives.
  • Review deliverables and processes to ensure full lifecycle compliance with performance requirements, recording quality review results for traceability and analysis.
  • Conduct and support data management related to Service Level Agreements (SLAs); monitor internal Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for trends in QMS adherence.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of the Internal Audit Schedule for compliance with PWS, Leidos policies, ISO 9001:2015, and CMMI-Dev.
  • Ensure the Internal Quality Audit schedule is properly executed, identifying objective evidence and providing added value.
  • Maintain evidence and quality artifacts in SharePoint to support audit readiness for site installations and supply chain functions.

Defect, Nonconformance, and Root Cause Management

  • Identify and communicate deliverables or services that fail to meet quality standards and track them in the quality system.
  • Log defects, observations, and risks identified during site visits using quality tracking tools; ensure mitigation and disposition before final sign-off.
  • Document and ensuring defective or noncompliant items found during inspections are tracked with supporting evidence [i.e., photos, defect log entries].
  • Communicate Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs); manage and track resolution to closure.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses and recommend corrective and preventive actions; ensure issues are resolved and closed on schedule.

Site Verification & Validation (V&V) Activities

  • Conduct on-site Verification & Validation (V&V) inspections across CONUS locations to confirm alignment of installations with technical drawings, configuration standards, and the List of Materials (LOM).
  • Coordinate directly with Government CORs and GENM-O site leads to collect feedback and drive process improvement at the site level.
  • Validate that all delivered and installed materials match procurement documentation, configuration baselines, and technical specifications.

Logistics Quality Oversight

  • Perform receiving inspections to ensure incoming materials are physically intact, correctly labeled, and consistent with packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Verify material readiness by confirming firmware versions, configuration settings, and safety compliance.
  • Review and reconcile Material Inspection and Receiving Reports (MIRRs) and shipping documents with inventory logs.
  • Work with Logistics and Procurement teams to trace, inspect, and validate materials staged for deployment, ensuring proper labeling and quantity.
  • Assist in managing nonconforming items and coordinate Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes; confirm replacements meet quality standards and delivery timelines.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 4-8 years of professional experience; or a Master’s degree in a related discipline with 2-6 years of professional experience. Additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Currently possess a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience working with SharePoint and MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong customer engagement skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Knowledge of procurement documentation [i.e., PO, packing slips, MIRRs], experience with material inspections and traceability practices, familiarity with RMA processes, and attention to detail in documentation review.
  • Experience conducting site visit inspections, familiarity with configuration management, ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications, and effective communication with stakeholders in field environments.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Familiarity with Government and DoD IT and security policies and requirements
  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 and CMMI-DEV Industry Standards and Best Practices.
  • Current industry certifications in quality management and or service management such as ISO 9001-20000 and ITIL.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Familiarity with the development of strategic quality approaches for witnessing test execution to ensure requirement satisfaction

  • Remote, but must be able to travel to various CONUS sites monthly.

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
