Description
The QA & Software Testing Intern will support the US-based quality assurance team in validating web applications, integrations, and product features across multiple environments. Selected candidates will work independently during Philippines work hours. This role provides hands-on experience with real-world testing scenarios, including UI testing, functional validation, and defect tracking. They will work closely with QA analysts, developers, and product teams to ensure product quality, usability, and reliability while gaining exposure to testing practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Quality Assurance
- Execute manual test cases for web-based applications and platforms.
- Validate UI behavior, workflows, and business logic across different scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira.
- Assist in verifying bug fixes and performing re-testing activities.
Test Design & Documentation
- Review test scenarios and assist in creating detailed test cases and test data.
- Document test execution results, evidence, and findings.
- Contribute to test coverage improvement by identifying gaps or missing scenarios.
- Support the maintenance of QA artifacts (test cases, execution logs, defect reports).
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with QA team members and developers.
- Participate in team meetings (stand-ups, test reviews, planning sessions).
- Assist in understanding business requirements and translating them into test scenarios.
- Provide feedback on usability and user experience.
Environment QA
- Validating environments after copies/refreshes.
- Validating environments before testing and before anything goes into production.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE
Required
- Hands-on Oracle Utilities CC&B, C2M, and/or CCS experience
- 1 year of testing/QA experience
- Able to work independently
- High level of English proficiency (written/verbal)
Preferred
- Environment validation
- Basic SQL
- 2+ years of Utility experience
- Experience working remotely across multiple time zones (specifically with US/Canadian teams)
