Job Purpose and Impact
- The QA Software Engineer partners closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role focuses on validating product functionality through manual testing and designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests. Working within an Agile environment, this position helps ensure that features meet business requirements, quality standards, and user expectations.
Key Accountabilities
- MANUAL TESTING: Design, execute, and document manual test cases based on product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- TEST AUTOMATION: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to support regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- AGILE COLLABORATION: Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and other QA team members in an Agile/Scrum team to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
- DEFECT MANAGEMENT: Identify, document, and track defects, working with the team to ensure timely resolution and verification.
- CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and automation practices to increase efficiency and reliability.
- DOCUMENTATION: Maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
- COLLABORATION: Partners with cross functional team of product managers, designers and other engineers to gather moderately complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Occasionally, provides technical support and troubleshooting for moderately complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with hands-on experience in manual testing and test automation. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and the software development lifecycle.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with Cypress or similar test automation frameworks.
- API testing experience (e.g., RESTful services).
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
