BlackCloak’s mission is to protect corporate executives and high-profile individuals in their personal lives, mitigating risks to their families, companies, reputation, and finances. We defend our clients’ digital lives from hackers, privacy leaks, and identity theft. If you are passionate about helping to protect others, then keep reading - this may be your next great opportunity.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be a critical part of our product development lifecycle, ensuring that our platform and applications are robust, reliable, and secure. You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and security experts to maintain the exceptional quality our clients expect.

What You Will Do

  • Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Comprehensive Test Execution: Perform rigorous manual testing across our entire suite of products, including our web-based SaaS platform, iOS and Android mobile applications, and macOS and Windows desktop clients.
  • Test Automation: Create, maintain, and execute test automation scripts for repetitive tasks.
  • Test Plan and Case Development: Analyze product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create, document, and maintain detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Bug Identification and Tracking: Identify, isolate, and meticulously document defects in our bug tracking system (e.g., Jira). You will be responsible for tracking bug resolution and conducting verification testing.
  • Regression and Performance Testing: Develop and execute regression test suites to ensure that new features or bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality. You will also assist in identifying performance bottlenecks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. You will serve as the voice of quality, providing clear and concise feedback to the development team.
  • Security and Privacy Verification: Given the nature of our service, you will pay special attention to testing security features, access controls, data privacy rules, and encryption integrity to ensure our defenses are sound.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate across teams to contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and test coverage.

What You Will Need to be Successful

  • We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in software quality assurance and a passion for delivering secure, high-quality products. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in a software quality assurance role.
  • Multi-Platform Testing Expertise: Demonstrated experience testing applications across various platforms:
  • Web/SaaS applications in modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox).
  • Native mobile applications (iOS and Android).
  • Desktop applications (macOS and Windows).
  • QA Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing).
  • Technical proficiency.
  • Proficiency with bug tracking and test case management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia) to validate backend services.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development cycles.
  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL for data validation purposes is a plus.
  • Experience with integrating AI automation into testing workflows is a plus.
  • Security Mindset: A genuine interest in cybersecurity and privacy. Experience testing in a security-conscious environment or testing security-specific features (e.g., authentication, permissions) is highly desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous and methodical approach to testing, with the ability to identify subtle issues that others might miss.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to understand complex systems, break them down, and systematically identify potential failure points.
