The Publishing Administrator helps keep the publishing team running smoothly by supporting day-to-day operations and coordinating across editorial, production, and distribution. This role is a great fit for someone who’s organized, detail-oriented, and excited to be involved in every stage of the publishing process. The ideal fit for this role is someone who cares about Bible distribution and is passionate about working with faith-based organizations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and track publishing schedules, deadlines, and project timelines
- Provide administrative support to editorial, production, and marketing teams
- Maintain accurate records of manuscripts, contracts, and rights information
- Assist with manuscript submission tracking and author communications
- Prepare and format documents, reports, and publishing materials
- Bachelor’s degree in Publishing, English, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in the publishing industry
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with publishing workflows, editorial processes, and distribution
- Experience with content management systems or metadata tools
- Basic understanding of copyright and rights management
