Job Overview:

LPL is seeking a Public Relations Consultant to join the Marketing & Communications department. This role, as part of the Corporate Communication team, will be responsible for managing public relations operations—including reporting and insights, press release writing and editing, project management, and execution— in support of the firm’s PR team.

The ideal candidate will be well-organized and adept at using Cision to create robust media reports. They will be a strong writer and copy editor with an eye for detail and an ability to implement process and operational excellence.  

The role requires someone who can prioritize and manage time effectively, operates well in ambiguity, thrives in an ever- changing environment, has a friendly can-do attitude, and is hungry to learn.

This position reports to the Vice President, Public Relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with both the in-house public relations team and the external agency to maintain a calendar and record of all PR activity.

  • Write and edit press releases on a variety of topics with an eye for detail and impeccable grammar.

  • Work within Cision to build press lists and to create meaningful reports on the firm’s media coverage to share with key stakeholders.

  • Support frontline PR teams and work collaboratively with a wide variety of personalities across a large organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, a related discipline, or equivalent additional experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in public relations roles

  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office

  • 2+ years’ experience with Cision

Preferences:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills

  • Proven track record in writing press releases

  • Highly organized

  • Project and process management experience

  • Resourceful approach applied to workload

Pay Range:

$60,188-$100,313/year
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
