About the Role
Based in Singapore or Bengaluru, you will support the APJC Public Policy team across three core pillars:
1. Policy Analysis & Research
- Regulatory Tracking: Monitor and evaluate legislative developments across APJC
- Intelligence Mapping: Maintain internal knowledge databases and draft stakeholder maps covering government ministries, regional regulators, and industry bodies.
- Content Development: Assist in drafting talking points, policy narratives, position papers, and consultation responses for regional government stakeholders.
2. Policy Campaigns & Programmatic Work
- AI Advocacy: Support the execution of AI-focused policy programs and campaigns, identifying partnership opportunities with governments and civil society.
- Regional Engagement: Help coordinate Cloudflare's participation in regional forums and multi-stakeholder organizations.
- External Representation: Help prepare materials for external events, meetings, and thought leadership pieces (e.g., company blog posts) to amplify Cloudflare's regional voice.
3. Internal Operations & AI Innovation
- AI Tooling & Automation: Actively build and deploy AI-driven tools to streamline policy tracking, research, and internal reporting workflows.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide real-time updates to Legal, Trust & Safety, and Sales teams, ensuring policy insights are translated into actionable business intelligence.
- Commercial Enablement: Compile localized materials to help sales and marketing teams respond to policy-related inquiries from regional customers.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an active, self-starting individual with a strong academic background and a deep curiosity for the intersection of technology and society.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Student: Enrolled in a degree program in Law, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related social science field.
- AI Proficiency: Must be highly comfortable with AI tools and demonstrate the ability to actively build with AI (e.g., using LLMs for automation, data analysis, or workflow optimization).
- Available for a full-time 20-week internship, working from our Singapore or Bengaluru office 3-5 days a week from July - December.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship experience within a technology company, trade association, or government agency working on digital policy.
- Familiarity with the specific regulatory landscapes of key APJC markets (e.g., India, Japan, Australia, or SE Asia).
- Proficiency in a second regional language (e.g., Japanese, Korean or Bahasa) is a significant plus to understand and deal with policy in ASEAN countries
