Key responsibilities include creation and maintenance of provider contract templates, analysis of federal and state contract requirements, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and recommending process improvements to enhance template effectiveness.
The Contract Tools, Education, Processes Lead (Provider Contract Templates Lead) is responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and optimization of provider contracting templates for Medicare and Medicaid lines of business. This role ensures that all contract templates are compliant with regulatory requirements, align with company standards, and facilitate efficient, accurate provider contracting processes. The Lead will collaborate cross-functionally with partner teams to ensure templates reflect current policy and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, draft, and update provider contracting templates for Medicare and Medicaid programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
- Analysis of laws, regulations and other requirements related to Medicare and Medicaid provider contracts
- Lead the review and revision of existing contract templates in response to regulatory changes, business needs, or process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain feedback and align templates with business objectives.
- Maintain documentation and version control for all provider contract templates.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for provider contracting language and template-related inquiries.
- Provide training and guidance to contractors and business partners on template use, changes, and rationale.
- Recommend process improvements and lead special projects as needed to enhance template effectiveness and efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare contracting (language, build, negotiations)
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting and managing contract language
- Exceptional written communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse stakeholders
- Flexible, dynamic personality who works well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience analyzing and interpreting federal and state legal requirements
- Familiarity with contract management systems and template automation tools
- Paralegal or legal drafting experience
