We are seeking a Proposal Specialist to lead the creation, coordination, and submission of high-quality proposals for our national security research and development projects. In this exciting role, you will play a critical part in capturing new business opportunities and growing our portfolio of defense R&D contracts. With our focus on innovation and technical excellence, you will have the chance to contribute to groundbreaking initiatives that make a real difference in the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective proposal strategies and content to capture new business opportunities

  • Implement gated proposal management process to manage and coordinate proposal schedules, timelines, and assignments to ensure on-time delivery of highest quality proposals

  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, graphics, contracts, and cost to create compelling and compliant proposal content

  • Author, review, and edit proposal documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all submissions

  • Ensure all proposals adhere to client requirements and meet strict formatting guidelines

  • Coordinate internal reviews and approval processes, securing stakeholder buy-in before submission

  • Track and analyze proposal metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities; able to juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Superb writing and grammar skills with expertise in generating compelling narratives that clearly convey complex technical content

  • Attention to detail to ensure compliance with Request for Proposal requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred); minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense acquisition process and applicable regulations

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
