Position Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and creative Project Manager with a strategic mindset who thrives on challenging the status quo and proactively driving change. In this role, you will need to be comfortable asking questions and approaching projects with a broad perspective. Your leadership will directly influence the efficiency and innovation of Pharmacy Services Finance operations, providing opportunities to shape strategic initiatives and advance your project management expertise.
As a Project Manager within the Office of the CFO – Caremark (OCFO-CMK), you will lead cross-functional initiatives for Pharmacy Services (PS) Finance, collaborating with IT project management teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, enhance customer service, and improve operational performance at CVS Health. You will play a key role in strategic planning, process improvement, and change management, contributing to the company's goals and professional growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
Act as a strategic partner to business leaders to ensure successful project delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
Provide timely updates throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop, manage, and obtain approvals for project budgets and handle changes as needed.
Create and update project plans, ensuring alignment with deliverables.
Lead working sessions to identify tasks, resources, and dependencies.
Apply techniques such as PERT to validate project logic and improve Gantt chart clarity.
Schedule and facilitate technical and status update meetings regularly.
Utilize agendas, status reports, meeting minutes, and a RAID log (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) for effective project management.
Develop plans to address escalations and resolve issues raised by the project team or documented in the RAID log.
Review approaches with management, when necessary, before engaging colleagues for issue resolution.
Deliver projects using Predictive (waterfall), Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
Coach others with project management methodologies.
Initiate and oversee multiple projects of varying size from inception to completion.
Manage project scope, resources, budgets, and plans.
Build expertise when working across multiple projects on a common platform.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Share feedback to improve processes and highlight success factors.
Work with leadership to prioritize and implement improvements in processes, tools, and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of project management experience or comparable work in financial and/or service operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with diverse project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, XP, etc.)
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
Experience in the healthcare industry, including health insurance, PBM, or pharmacy services
Familiarity with highly regulated industries and compliance environments
Understanding of complex, interconnected systems and business processes
Experience working in a matrix environment
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent
PROSCI Change Management Certification or equivalent
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $132,600.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
