The Position
Support the Senior Project Manager in driving key priorities across the project organization. Responsible for managing and executing small to medium-scale projects from scope development and project planning through project closeout. Complete assigned projects & project tasks within cost, quality, & schedule requirements.
API Ex is looking for a Project Manager I with expertise in warehousing and shipping operations, along with knowledge of SAP functionality and master data. This role will involve overseeing operational design, as well as managing the flows for personnel, equipment, and materials.

Essential Functions
  • Support executive decision making (Project Management Team, Steering Group, etc.) including preparation & follow up on actions
  • Drive key ongoing project priorities such as development of Operating Model, Project Governance, contract negotiations, etc.
  • Drive & support cross project activities by coordinating with work package team members & Project Managers regarding communication, cross project activities, etc.
  • Initiate, develop, & lead initiatives until line-of-business handover
  • Lead preparation of project team meetings and events as required
  • Lead decision making activities & provide flexible ad hoc support with short notice
  • Perform all work in accordance with applicable SOPs, cGMPs, corporate standards, state & federal laws/regulations
  • Adheree to mechanism for monitoring project progress, intervention & problem solving with other line managers or personnel
  • Communicate to management & other units
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distractions. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Economics, Business Management, Project Management, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required
    • May consider an associate's degree in engineering, Economics, Business Management, Project Management, or relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of four (4) years of proven experience in project management, preferably within Tier 1 management consulting, project management of large construction projects or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment required
    • May consider a High School Diploma (GED) with a minimum of six (6) years of proven experience in project management, preferably within Tier 1 management consulting, project management of large construction projects or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in project management, preferably within Tier 1 management consulting, project management of large construction projects or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent project management consulting experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complicated project execution plans, documentation & standard operating procedures with attention to high-level concepts preferred
  • Experience with executive level communications & stakeholder management preferred
  • Basic understanding of contractual documents & ability to create work plans & detailed project schedules required
  • Proven expertise in planning/organizing, managing execution preferred
