About the Role

We are looking to add a Project Lead Manager to our growing High Voltage Substation department. The PM is a results-oriented leader responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Riot High Voltage Substations' mission-critical infrastructure — ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the primary unifier between Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Contractors, driving performance certainty from site design and pre-construction through commissioning and operational turnover. This position is based out of our Corsicana/Rockdale office and requires five days a week in-office presence.

What You'll Do

  • Project Leadership — Drive multi-phased data center projects from inception through business turnover, with heavy leadership in pre-construction, construction, and commissioning.
  • Financial Management — Actively manage project budgeting, including cost-to-date variance tracking, cash-flow forecasting, and detailed review of monthly contractor invoicing and WIP production.
  • Contract & Document Control — Lead the SOW/RFP process, including evaluation and leveling of pricing proposals. Manage RFI processing, submittal approvals, change order negotiations, and project close-out documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Organize and lead workgroups across Design, Engineering, Procurement, Land Enablement, Operations, and Legal to ensure technical deliverables and engineering standards are met.
  • Site Oversight — Perform regular site walks to assess progression, design compliance, and quality of craftsmanship, while collaborating with EH&S Officers to ensure strict adherence to safety procedures.
  • Risk Mitigation — Identify constructability challenges and project risks early, implementing effective mitigation strategies to reduce constraints between the Owner, Design Team, and Contractor.
  • Operational Handoff — Oversee the seamless transition of physical data center assets, commissioning reports, and as-built documentation to the Operations and Facilities teams.
  • Process Improvement — Develop and document lessons learned to drive process improvements, cost savings, and schedule efficiencies across the project lifecycle.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction management, with a strong preference for data center or mission-critical facility experience
  • Proven experience in CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) construction practices and procedures
  • Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders toward project goals
  • A collaborative leader who fosters shared accountability and works effectively across diverse departments
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of coordination and proactive leadership
  • Ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Ability to travel 30–50% to support North American project sites

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Base range (commensurate with experience) + bonus + sign-on equity grant.
  • Long-Term Growth: Eligible to participate in Riot’s equity incentive programs and share in the success you help build.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Incudes a generous company match.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Multiple medical plan options, including 100% company-paid plans.
  • Wellness & Lifestyle Perks: Enjoy free gym memberships, pet insurance, childcare discounts, and more to support your life both in and out of work.
