At CESO, a Civil Project Engineer I is responsible for performing the design and preparation of engineering construction documentation, specifications, and details for multiple projects simultaneously. They use their technical knowledge to actively participate in both internal and external meetings. You will have primary responsibilities that include:
Primary Responsibilities
- Under the direction of senior team members, perform basic site design work on site plans and construction drawings to include site layout, grading, stormwater, roadway, and utility layouts using Civil 3D
- Research of design criteria based on project scope and jurisdictional requirements
- Perform site design calculations and analysis based on researched codes and regulations to apply it to assigned tasks
- Provide thorough and accurate documentation of calculations
- Compare design options and document findings to produce detailed civil engineering studies and reports
- Review technical and civil engineering drawing markups and make revisions accordingly
- Perform practical application of civil engineering technology by applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various projects
- Ensure effective civil engineering methodology is adhered to according to industry standards
- Manage workload assignments for departmental co-ops
- Attend internal and external client meetings
- Other project duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Passage of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam is preferred
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, HydroCAD, Microsoft Office Suite
