The BAE Systems site in York, PA is seeking a Program Quality Engineer. In this role as a Program QE, you will:
  • Support the objectives of the Quality Program Manager (QPM) by leading projects of small to moderate size and complexity
  • Determine and communicate project objectives and strategies
  • Ensure technical, test, performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements are met and that outcomes are consistent with established engineering and management principles and practice
  • Review contracts to determine contract deliverable report requirements (CDRL's)
  • Develop, implement, and manage project issues, metrics, task definition, resource requirements, and quality initiatives
  • Assess project quality risks then develop and support mitigation efforts
  • Address the various needs, concerns, and expectations of stakeholders
  • Conceptualize and analyze technical challenges to ensure outcomes are consistent with customer and internal requirements
  • Prepare and present project technical results and recommendations
  • Advise QPM on new developments and evolving technical challenges

Required Education, Experience, & Skills • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years related experience, or the overall equivalent• Possess an understanding of Quality Systems Requirements (i.e. ISO 9001)• Excellent interpersonal skills• Strong communicator able to effectively share relevant information, costs, and concepts particularly in the form of presentations, to a diverse audience• Practical working knowledge of project management, supply chain, configuration management, manufacturing, process improvement methodologies, and life cycle management processes• Familiar with product requirements and the execution of contractor / Government programs• Able to coordinate and lead cross functional teams• Excellent organization and time management skills• Computer proficiency in MS suite
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred
  • ASQ accreditation or Black-belt, or Green-belt certification
  • Demonstratable knowledge of ISO 9001, TS-16949, or AS9100

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $149922
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
