Who you are:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous communicator who wants to help Hometap realize our ambitious intentions, whether that be shifting our rapidly growing Investment Operations to a new technology platform or ensuring we are prepared to scale to a multi-product company. You are familiar with complex technical ecosystems, integration projects, and their demands on related functions. You are tactical by nature but maintain adequate perspective on strategic intentions.
Sitting on our Biz Ops team, you’ll report to the VP of Business Operations and have a hand in driving projects that are crucial to Hometap’s growth and success. You’re a great fit if you are inspired by building alignment and plans across functions, and keeping people accountable to deliver against them. You can manage up when changes arise, and motivate teams through the process when an important deadline is imminent. You’re nimble enough to accommodate a dynamic business, while also remaining steadfast on what is needed to deliver against our goals and plans.
As Program Manager, you’ll need to be transparent and diligent, a trusted source of truth on “how we’re doing,” and provide data wherever possible to recommend changes in course. You’ll keep stakeholders informed, teams focused, and leaders aware of risks as we work together to make homeownership more accessible and less stressful.
What you'll do:
- Ensure internal and external meetings are thoughtfully planned, happening on the right cadence, and with the right audiences
- Provide organization and thought leadership on how to structure our plans to maximize the output of resources
- Own and continuously refine project plans, adding increasingly more fine-grained data as we move through it
- Provide guidance in project sequencing and resource allocation conversations
- Ensure alignment across Hometap internal teams and third parties to set expectations on deliverables
- Maintain detailed status documentation on how we are progressing against our plan, noting key decisions needed and/or risks to our critical path
- Lead executive updates and facilitate steering committee meetings with clarity, confidence, and a focus on decisions and outcomes
- Translate strategic business objectives into executable, cross-functional programs that drive measurable outcomes
- Proactively adapt program plans in response to shifting priorities, ensuring continued progress toward business goals
What you bring:
- 5+ years of technical project and/or program management experience
- Familiarity with project management software used to manage dependencies and resources, Jira and/or Monday experience is a plus
- Strong opinions loosely held, and the flexibility to navigate the unknown; you bring a strong point of view, but are comfortable adapting and modifying depending on the project audience and project
- Natural curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset — always looking for ways to work smarter and faster
- Meticulous organizational skills
- Clear, direct, and compassionate communication skills
- Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done
