The Business Innovation and Optimization Program Manager drives strategic transformation and operational excellence across the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO). This role oversees and optimizes business systems, automation, reporting tools, and program initiatives to enable high-impact execution. Success in this position requires cross-functional teamwork, agile problem-solving, and a focus on continuous improvement, data integrity, and stakeholder alignment.
This is a full-time, remote position. The role follows standard business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
What You'll Be Doing:- The Business Innovation and Optimization Program Manager plays a critical role in driving strategic transformation and operational excellence across the PMO.
- This position will report to the Senior Manager of the Project Management Center of Excellence and Program Management Office (Sr Manager, PCOE/PgMO).
- The position involves collaborating with PMO leadership and key cross-functional partners to ensure successful project delivery across the enterprise.
- Program Management & Governance:
- Lead business transformation initiatives that align with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate across departments to streamline workflows, reduce excess, and improve efficiency.
- Identify and put into action scalable solutions.
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement by enhancing tools, systems, and processes
- Automation & System Optimization:
- Be responsible for and maintain key platforms such as Kantata Smart Upload Manager, Power Automate, SharePoint Lists, Power BI, and MS Forms.
- Evaluate automation tools and deprecate redundant or legacy systems.
- Manage account provisioning, bulk uploads, and system reconciliations.
- Reporting & Metrics:
- Facilitates and partners with Data Analysts on building dashboards and performance metrics to supervise operational efficiency and project outcomes.
- Collaborate with customers to implement data-driven improvements and standardize leading practices across the PMO.
- Stakeholder & Change Management:
- Serve as the transformation lead for initiatives impacting PMO.
- Design and complete change management strategies and communication plans to ensure adoption.
- Communication & Escalation:
- Act as a point of contact for system and process-related issues impacting delivery teams.
- Maintain partner engagement through recurring meetings and regular updates, ensuring visibility and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations or project management.
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving process improvements.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including Excel pivot tables and reporting.
- Advanced skills in Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and MS Forms.
- Familiarity with financial systems and quality assurance processes a plus.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $104,000 to $143,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
