Position summary 

The Program Director, Strategic Account Program, is the main point of contact for the programs of our Strategic Accounts across the Drug Product network of Thermo Fisher’s Pharma Services Group (PSG). Provides a spectacular customer experiences through outstanding program management, end-to-end oversight, pro-active resolutions, and cross-functional operations. Serves as the liaison between the Site Program & Project Management Office (PPMO), Site GMs, Quality Project Lead (QPL), Strategic Account Relationship Director and the client.  

Key responsibilities 

  • Drives all program related activities to ensure accurate execution, and challenges are promptly handled, and all communications are timely led through one communication channel.  

  • Coordinates the resolution of issues raised by clients, working closely with Site PPMO and QPL to ensure effective resolutions and countermeasures are implemented. 

  • Proactively prevents and handles above-site issues by cascading communications, engaging as needed with internal and client executives. 

  • Builds strong governance structure internally and with client.  

  • Assesses situations to resolve importance, urgency and risks, and makes clear decisions which are timely and in the best interest of the organization. 

  • Coordinates globally the overall delivery of services among different activities and business lines to increase effectiveness and efficiency.  

  • Anticipates, understands and responds to the needs of clients to meet or exceed their expectations within our organizational success parameters.  

  • Engages with customers and team members to gain support for improvement initiatives and actively seeks suggestions for improvement. 

  • Encourages uniformity across the sites by incorporating operational and quality performance, recognized patterns, and standard methodologies.  

  • Leads high-level meetings with clients to review the status of the programs across the network. 

  • Applies appropriate rationale and effective interpersonal skills that will be able to influence key decisions and lead constructive debate.  

  • Shares reports with top management and central corporate functions on matters that could impact performances and problems, with solutions and improvement plans in place with tools within mysupply platform. 

  • Supports Strategic Accounts through excellent customer experiences to drive and expand business.  

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific or technical area 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. 

  • 10+ years of shown experiences in client-facing program management in the international environment of the Pharmaceutical/CDMO Industry  

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share point, MS Project) 

  • Excellent Program Management skills  

  • Experience with drug products preferred.

  • Experience with client management preferred.

  • Extensive Customer orientation 

  • Inspirational and forward-thinking, decision-making and conflict resolution skills 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to encourage and empower. 

  • Capability to navigate a complex and highly matrixed organization. 

  • Ability to work with internal and external senior level executives. 

Equivalency 

Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
