Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join the team at our Monroe, NC facility to assure the highest-level quality that meets the needs of our customers while managing the inserting production operations. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and implementing all production job orders to assure the client’s satisfaction and the continued growth of Venture Solutions.   

This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship

Your Hours: Split Shift

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a team through a wide variety of employee centered issues requiring:  knowledge of corporate/location policies and procedures, effective communications, performance appraisal procedures, performance management, hiring and interviewing, documentation, interpersonal skills, coaching skills, change management, conflict resolution, delegation, goal setting, motivation and employee engagement.
  • Hands-on supervision of daily operations including workflow scheduling, management of staff scheduling, monitoring productivity and quality, production process troubleshooting, and all other activities required to ensure on-time delivers and 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Daily communication with other shifts and departments regarding workflow, staffing, and production issues.
  • Daily focus on leading production team to exceed performance goals and continue to raise the bar.

You Must Have:

  • 5 years of Supervisory experience (15 or more employees) in a fast-paced, quick turn production environment
  • Knowledge and experience with production practices utilizing ISO 9001 standards, 5S and Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience with compliance related operations and standards; e.g. financial, banking, mortgage, healthcare, etc.
  • Proven management skills with solid interpersonal abilities in order to establish and grow effective working relationships
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently in the absence of the extended resources on the day shift
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively across functional groups and management levels
  • Ability to prioritize, remain focused on task, while maintaining quality, safety and on-time delivery
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office (Excel. Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to quickly identify and effectively document, manage, and communicate employee issues with regard to attendance, productivity, quality, or other performance-related areas
  • Working knowledge & experience in digital printing and insertion (roll and sheet fed devices)
  • Available to extend hours and work weekend shifts as needed during our peak production periods.

We Would Also Prefer:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Print & Mail industry and or experience working in print production environment
  • Experience with postal regulations as related to print & mail
