About Mentor Collective:
This is a high-impact, hands-on role where your ideas will directly shape the end-to-end user experience. You’ll thrive here if you love rapid prototyping, asking great questions, experimenting with new technologies (including AI), and bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table.
What You'll Do:
You are welcome at Mentor Collective

We want to create an inclusive and equitable work environment that reflects the very students and universities we serve.
We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate based on age, race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, caregiver status, gender identity or expression, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, legally protected genetic information, marital status, veteran status, military status, housing status, sexual orientation, or any other factor determined to be an unlawful basis for such decisions by federal, state, or local statutes.
At Mentor Collective, we believe human connection is the key to student success. We partner with higher education institutions to deliver transformative mentoring experiences.
We are entering an exceptionally exciting phase of growth: launching a brand-new product, refreshing our visual brand, and actively integrating AI and agentic workflows into how we build and deliver software. We operate as a nimble, highly collaborative team with a supportive engineering culture, an ambitious product vision, and a genuinely rewarding market to serve.

- Product-Minded Thinking: Ability to balance ideal user experiences with technical feasibility, development scope, and business objectives.
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding ability to articulate the "why" behind your design decisions, facilitate brainstorming sessions both internally and with customers, and ask insightful questions.
- Tech & AI Enthusiast: Genuine curiosity and hands-on experience using modern design and AI tools—specifically leveraging tools like Claude Design alongside Figma to rapidly build prototypes, maintain scalable design systems, and generate dev-ready assets for engineering.
- Proactive Mindset: Self-motivated go-getter who naturally looks beyond assigned feature cards to identify improvements and opportunities within the product and the overall business.
- Accessibility Awareness: Experience with—or a strong eagerness to learn—web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA) to ensure our digital products are inclusive, usable, and compliant for all higher education students and staff.
