Product Owner

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Perform detailed market and customer research to define the future direction of the services handled.
• Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectations of delivery.
• Provide vision and direction to the product and development teams and stakeholders throughout the project.
• Define product vision, sprint plan, and growth opportunities in alignment with the defined road map.
• Communicate priorities and status to internal stakeholders.
• Interact with various stakeholders in the marketplace to understand requirements and issues.
• Maintain change control to prevent project scope drift.
• Create and maintain all Product Lifecycle documents like BSD’s, ICA’s, on a weekly basis.
• Create release configuration notes for stakeholder communications.
• Work with internal departments to ensure migration of new functionality.
• Work with Requirement Analysts to ensure research and requirements milestones are met and in line with the project vision.
• Mitigate risk impacting successful completion of project deliverables.
• Work closely with the scrum and leadership team to create and maintain product backlog.
• Identifying areas for improvement in team processes and contributing to solutions.
• Participating in Partner Collaborative efforts across the ACA marketplace.
• Outline new product opportunities to increase on overall understanding of key product metrics.
• Develop and provide Quality Checks to ensure compliance with state and federal quality standards.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

• 6+ years of experience within the healthcare industry or similar industry
• 3 years working in an agile environment, especially in the health care domain.
• Strong knowledge of managing products builds teams.
• Demonstrated experience of delivering similar engagements.
• Experience with building a production vision and backlog
• Experience in the healthcare industry specifically with CMS
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence/Share point or similar tools.
• Experience working with multi-vendor teams in the health care space.
• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Knowledge of XML, JSON, and web service architecture.
• Knowledge of both SOAP and REST APIs.
• Web service/API development exposure desirable.
• Project Management or Implementation experience.
• Quality Assurance experience.
• REST/ JSON / XML exposure preferred.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• 5 + years in a Product Owner/Business Analyst role.
• A bachelor's degree
