The Job At-A-Glance:

We’re looking for a Fraud Product Owner to help drive the development and delivery of our fraud detection solutions focused on check and ACH payments. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and financial institution partners to translate fraud prevention needs into technical requirements, prioritize the product backlog, and ensure high-quality, timely delivery.

This role sits at the intersection of fraud operations, technology, and agile product delivery, and requires someone who understands the nuances of financial fraud and the mechanics of software development.

  • Translate business needs, fraud attack patterns, and regulatory requirements into clear user stories and technical requirements.

  • Prioritize and groom backlog items in collaboration with engineering, risk, and data teams.

  • Ensure delivered features meet acceptance criteria and align with business objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as the main point of contact for engineering during sprint planning, execution, and reviews.

  • Work closely with fraud analysts, data scientists, QA, and operations teams to refine detection tools and reduce false positives.

  • Collaborate with client-facing teams to gather feedback from financial institutions and adjust priorities accordingly.

Technical & Tactical Focus

  • Partner with engineering on implementation details, technical tradeoffs, and delivery timelines.

  • Support the integration of fraud detection models, APIs, and rule-based systems into the platform.

  • Monitor KPIs and technical performance to guide continuous improvements and resolve production issues.

Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a

minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.

  • Strong understanding of payment systems (ACH, check) and fraud patterns.

  • Experience working with agile delivery teams and managing backlogs, user stories, and sprint planning.

  • Familiarity with fraud detection systems, APIs, ML models, and rule-based engines is a strong plus.

  • Comfortable working with technical teams and bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in fraud operations, financial crime risk, or transaction monitoring.

  • Experience with financial institutions, core banking platforms, or payment processors.

  • Understanding of regulations impacting payments fraud (e.g., Nacha, Reg E, FFIEC).

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
