The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly analytical, outcomes-driven and detail-oriented Product Operations Associate, Hardware to own our portfolio of accessory hardware supporting our core product verticals of Audio, Video, and LPR (License Plate Readers) along with growth initiatives. This role involves solving complex operational challenges affecting our delivery team, and working closely with cross functional partners and leaders to influence change and drive meaningful impact for the business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and is excited to seek out and own projects that yield operational efficiency, improve cost and quality, and drive top line growth for an ever-evolving business.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • By working closely with Engineering Technical Program Managers, Supply Chain, and Product to define and execute business requirements, including field testing and validation.

  • By leading operational teams to hit scaling milestones for critical programs.

  • By solving some of the most complex problems the company faces in providing customers with their end product, which ultimately help them make their communities safer.

The Skillset
  • 3+ years of experience working in a high-growth environment with a technical background that provides the foundation for navigating our engineering environment with ease

  • Experience partnering across Operations functions to lead programs that achieve critical business outcomes around hardware delivery

  • Comfortable working in a fast moving operational environment, focused on meeting and exceeding lofty metrics and goals, with strong follow-through and ability to self-manage multiple tasks and projects at once

  • Ability to gain alignment and drive decisions with key stakeholders, including Product, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to ensure dependencies are identified and project goals are clear

  • Highly analytical, utilizing and developing reports and a suite of tools to assess operational trends, identify challenges, and design solutions to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Have proven experience as a member or leader of a team that has shipped consumer or IOT electronic devices

  • Has experience with google sheets, SQL, and Sigma

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

  • Highly adaptable self-starter who embraces change and knows how to pivot when confronted with new challenges

  • Diplomatic, tactful and poised under pressure, with a high comfort with ambiguity

  • Capable of identifying gaps or risks and moving quickly to mitigate those issues. At Flock we take ownership and resolve problems, never assuming ‘someone else is going to take care of it’

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as a Manager, New Product Delivery at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days

  • Ramp: meet with the various stakeholders and learn about the various device platforms, including in-field shadowing of our launched & emerging product installs

  • Learn how to navigate Flock: tools, process, people through completing 1:1s and building queries and/or Salesforce reports relevant to your assigned projects

  • Understand this quarter’s goals and your newly assigned project deliverables

  • Take ownership of your programs!

The First 60 Days

  • Execute project plans with regular meetings, close each week’s priority deliverables, communicate results

  • Strengthen partnerships with internal stakeholders and key customers, ensure your projects are still calibrated for current success and you are on track to hit targets

  • Regularly escalate any perceived or real deliverable risk, with details and recommendations on how to mitigate

  • Recommend improvements within our Delivery function; communication methods, tools, general process to help the team always make forward progress

90 Days & Beyond

  • Continue to successfully execute project plans with regular meetings, close each week’s priority deliverables, communicate results

  • Work closely with Ops, Engineering, and Product partners to identify and capture business needs; translate to specific project initiatives to roll up into the broader operational execution processes

  • Evaluate your successes and areas for improvement with your manager; recalibrate and plan for changes needed to accomplish next quarters goal.

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $93,000-$136,000 as well as stock options
