About the role

At Thatch, we’re building a new way for modern businesses to offer great health benefits. We’re taking a unique approach in a legacy space, with backing from some of the world’s top investors (a16z, Index Ventures, Google Ventures, General Catalyst) and a team of top performers from companies like Stripe, Rippling, Ramp, Brex, and Shopify.

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own positioning and messaging, partner on sales enablement, and lead cross-functional GTM plans that drive adoption across employers and brokers. The ideal candidate blends customer empathy, crisp storytelling, and data-driven decision making.

As a key member of the Go-To-Market team, you’ll connect Product, Sales, Channel, and Marketing, turning product capabilities into revenue and advocacy. This is a highly cross-functional, fully remote role.

What you'll do
  • Own positioning & messaging: craft clear value propositions by segment/persona and ensure consistency across web, sales, and channel materials.
  • Lead “Market Moment” launches: build and run tiered launch plans (briefs, narratives, assets, enablement, metrics) for net-new products, partnerships, and more.
  • Build persona & ICP depth: develop buyer/user personas (HR leaders, brokers, etc.) and map pains, triggers, and objections.
  • Drive sales & channel enablement: create pitch decks, one-pagers, talk tracks, battlecards, and objection handling - helping train AE/SDR and broker-facing teams.
  • Competitive & market intelligence: maintain win/loss insights, track competitors, and translate findings into strategy and content.
  • Customer proof & content: source stories, case studies, and testimonials; partner with Product, Product Growth, and Demand Gen on website copy, blog posts, brand, and ads.
  • Be the voice of the customer: synthesize research, interviews, and support data to inform roadmap and prioritize problems worth solving.
Background we're looking for
  • 4-6 years in B2B SaaS product marketing (startup preferred).
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-stakeholder launches and driving adoption.
  • Exceptional storytelling and writing skills with a strong product instinct.
  • Experience creating enablement (decks, battlecards, talk tracks) that moves win rates.
  • Analytical and comfortable with data (surveys, usage, funnel, win/loss).
  • Highly collaborative, resourceful operator who thrives in fast-moving environments.
Experience we’d be particularly excited about
  • Health benefits, fintech, or regulated categories.
  • Building PMM foundations at an early-stage company (personas, GTM frameworks).
  • Enabling hybrid GTM models (direct sales + channel/broker ecosystems).
  • Turning member-focused narrative into scalable assets and programs.
What to expect

We interview rigorously based on integrity, talent, and drive; the trust we display in our teammates from day 1 is a reflection of the confidence we have in this process. We aim to evaluate the things you’ll be doing every day as best we can, and we move quickly. Here's what to expect:

  • 20 minute phone screen to talk through your background and interest in Thatch
  • 30 minute Zoom meeting with the hiring manager to dive deeper into your experience and the role
  • 30 minute Zoom meeting to meet 3 members of the team
  • 30 minute Zoom meeting with the hiring manager to work through a live case study
  • 30 minute Zoom meeting with our founders to discuss your approach to culture and our operating principles
Estimated Compensation Range
$174,000$218,000 USD
