The Product Marketing Manager will lead GTM strategies for ZKsync, create technical content, conduct market analysis, and optimize marketing metrics.
The summary above was generated by AI

At Matter Labs, we believe freedom drives progress and prosperity. We don’t see ourselves as a company, but as a team aligned around a single mission: to advance personal freedom for all (see ZK Credo).

To achieve this goal, we’re building zkSync — a credibly neutral, fully open source technology stack and network on top of Ethereum, which is owned and governed by its community. We use advanced cryptography called zero-knowledge proofs to scale Ethereum infinitely without compromising on security or decentralization. With a world-class team, a community of over 1M supporters across Twitter + Discord, and hundreds of millions $ in funding, we have abundant resources to accomplish the mission.

The Role

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead the product marketing function for Matter Labs by owning end-to-end GTM for ZKsync, covering messaging, competitive insights, sales enablement, and developer education. Produce technical content (white papers, tutorials, videos) and maintain a continuous feedback loop with pilots and the community. Establish and track key metrics to optimize campaigns and expand the ZKsync ecosystem.

What you will be doing:

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Design and execute comprehensive GTM plans for ZKsync product and feature launches, covering messaging, outreach playbooks, developer education programs, and ecosystem partner coordination.

  • Competitive & Market Insights: Conduct ongoing competitive analyses, market intelligence, and end-user research to inform product positioning, feature prioritization, and technical content strategy.

  • Sales Enablement: Build and maintain up-to-date sales collateral: one-pagers, datasheets, verticalized slide decks (e.g., “Blockchain for Payments,” “Private Transactions for Institutions”), case studies, and competitor battle cards, so BD and sales teams can articulate value and close deals.

  • Messaging & Positioning: Develop concise, differentiated product messaging tailored to each target segment (developers, enterprises, DeFi users), and ensure consistent technical messaging across all channels.

  • Educational Resources: Lead creation of high-impact developer-focused content such as videos, tutorials, white papers, implementation guides, sample code repositories, and case studies that demonstrate ZKsync’s value proposition to technical decision-makers.

  • Customer & Community Feedback Loop: Gather and synthesize insights from pilots, early adopters, and developer communities, then channel them back into product and marketing priorities.

  • Metrics & Reporting: Define, track, and report on key metrics such as developer sign-ups, integrations, MQLs, conversion rates, documentation usage, on-chain activity, churn, and community growth to measure marketing impact and continuously optimize campaigns.

What we look for in you:

  1. Technical Marketing Excellence

    • Proven ability to translate complex, unique features into clear value propositions

    • Experience creating technical documentation and developer education programs

    • Track record of successful Web3 product launches and developer activations

  2. Technical Understanding

    • Solid grasp of blockchain technology

    • Ability to understand and explain technical products to non-technical audiences

    • Familiarity with Web3 development tools and frameworks

  3. Competitive Analysis & Positioning

    • Strong product marketing fundamentals and GTM strategy development

    • Ability to identify and articulate competitive differentiation

    • Proficiency in benchmarking product capabilities against competing solutions.

    • Data-driven approach to measuring engagement and content effectiveness

  4. Cross-functional Leadership

    • Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product, marketing and communications teams

    • Ability to coordinate complex launches across multiple stakeholders

    • Experience working in fast-paced technical environments

  5. Content Creation

    • Distill complex blockchain concepts into concise, audience-appropriate value statements

    • Excellence in creating technically-oriented marketing materials and documentation

    • Use data, benchmarks, and real-world examples to reinforce credibility and impact

    • Ability to develop compelling educational content and presentation materials

  6. Agility & Adaptability

    • Pivot strategies and tactics based on early feedback or new information

    • Make clear decisions in ambiguous contexts, surfacing risks and contingency options

    • Realign cross-functional plans under tight deadlines and changing requirements
