Join Us as a Product Manager

At Health Advocate, we’re on a mission to simplify healthcare and guide people through one of the most complex systems they will ever encounter. We don’t build products for the sake of features — we deliver market-driven, user-centered digital solutions that make healthcare navigation clearer, easier, and more human.

As a Product Manager, you’ll play a critical role in shaping products that directly support our mission. This isn’t a ticket-taking or feature-order role — you’ll partner closely with stakeholders, voice the needs of the market and end user, and translate validated problems into thoughtful, well-executed product outcomes.

What You’ll Do: Your Roadmap to Impact

This role offers the opportunity to own products end-to-end — from market discovery through delivery and optimization. Here’s how you’ll make a difference:

Drive Market-Led Product Strategy: Apply Pragmatic Institute principles to ground product decisions in validated market evidence, buyer needs, and competitive insights.

Translate Insight into Action: Conduct and synthesize market research, NIHITO activities, win/loss interviews, and customer input to define problems, buyer personas, and user journeys.

Own the Product Roadmap: Define and maintain a prioritized roadmap that aligns market needs, customer value, and business strategy — clearly communicating tradeoffs and decisions.

Define Clear, High-Quality Requirements: Write detailed product requirements and user stories with acceptance criteria that reflect a deep understanding of user experiences and workflows.

Champion User Experience: Collaborate with UX Designers to define intuitive, user-centered interfaces and end-to-end journeys.

Guide Delivery & Quality: Partner with Technology teams throughout development, evaluate technical options, perform acceptance QA, and ensure solutions meet business intent and quality standards.

Measure & Improve: Define and track product success metrics (KPIs, OKRs) to assess product-market fit and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Collaborate Across Teams: Act as the voice of the customer while working closely with Sales, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Technology, and Operations.

Use AI as a Multiplier: Leverage generative AI tools to accelerate research, sharpen thinking, increase efficiency, and continuously improve your product craft.

Who You Are: The Product Manager We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a thoughtful, hands-on product manager who thrives in ambiguity, values market evidence, and takes ownership from strategy through execution.

Experienced Product Professional
  • 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare, health technology, or B2B environments
  • Hands-on experience applying Pragmatic product management principles (Pragmatic training strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to define product strategy and write detailed user stories with acceptance criteria
Strong User-Centered Mindset
  • Deep experience defining user journeys, user experiences, and UI requirements
  • Passion for designing intuitive solutions that solve real problems
Ownership & Critical Thinking
  • Takes initiative and owns products from discovery through delivery
  • Comfortable defining problems, challenging assumptions, and making tradeoffs
AI-Curiosity & Growth Mindset
  • Actively uses generative AI tools as a productivity aid, creative partner, or learning resource
  • Open and curious about emerging technologies and industry trends
Collaborative Communicator
  • Effectively partners with stakeholders across Technology, Marketing, Sales, and Operations
  • Clearly translates complex ideas into actionable insights and decisions
Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)
  • Pragmatic Institute certification (PMC or higher)
  • Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) research experience
  • Rapid prototyping and customer feedback loops
  • Familiarity with digital health, AI/ML-enabled products, or cloud-based platforms
  • Data-informed product decision-making experience
