Job Description
NBCUniversal is seeking a dynamic and strategic Product Manager to join the Studio Distribution Technical Operations team. This role serves as a critical partner to the Global Distribution business and related functions responsible for licensing and distribution of film and television content to global television broadcasters and digital platforms.
As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute technology roadmaps, lead product management and business solutions delivery efforts, and oversee the global application portfolio supporting content sales and distribution operations.
This position reports to the Manager, Business Solution for Global Distribution Technology and is based in Universal City.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead Global Distribution technology and application roadmaps, translating evolving business priorities into scalable product and platform solutions in close partnership with stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Own end-to-end product strategy and delivery, driving scope definition, prioritization, and execution to ensure solutions fully meet business and operational requirements.
  • Champion agile delivery excellence through continuous improvement, disciplined execution, and proactive stakeholder alignment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between business and technology teams, providing accountability for project delivery and production support.
  • Lead cross-functional requirements gathering workshops, producing high-quality business process models, functional specifications, and user stories to enable efficient development.
  • Drive functional design and solution definition, delivering detailed artifacts including wireframes, prototypes, and source-to-target data/interface mapping.
  • Partner with technical teams throughout design, development, and implementation to ensure solutions align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable business value.
  • Validate API architecture and integrations, executing functional testing using tools such as Postman to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Analyze and interpret complex database structures, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers, to support solution design and troubleshooting.
  • Drive comprehensive testing efforts, including test strategy, defect triage, UAT execution, and end-user enablement through training and documentation.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, delivering clear status reporting and executive-level communication to leadership.
  • Leverage strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to optimize business processes, deliver innovative technical solutions, and manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering technology-enabled products and solutions, with strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices.
  • Proven success in business- and customer-facing roles, translating complex business needs into product strategy, roadmap priorities, and actionable requirements.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting application development and production support, including structured issue resolution, defect management, and change control.
  • 4+ years of experience in user experience definition, including wireframing, UI/UX prototyping, and workflow design.
  • Strong technical fluency with APIs, microservices architectures, databases, and SQL to effectively partner with engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced environments, managing competing priorities with strong ownership and attention to detail.

Desired Characteristics:
  • Media and Entertainment industry experience, with domain expertise in Global Content Licensing and Distribution and related Finance and Accounting processes.
  • Experience with Finance platforms/ERP systems and associated reporting and analytics tools.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with the ability to leverage resources and skillsets across cross-functional teams, fostering an environment of sharing learnings and knowledge and deliver clear functional and technical recommendations that support key architectural and business decisions Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, delivering results under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Self-directed and accountable, demonstrating high integrity, ownership, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time-management, planning, and organizational skills with a consistent results-driven mindset.
  • Effective communicator, able to share information clearly and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams.
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail and the ability to connect tactical execution to broader business objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
  • Flexibility to provide support outside standard business hours when needed.

Additional Requirements:
  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $110,000 - $145,000
