About Us

Johnson Law Group is an international law firm that has recovered over $2B for our
clients. The firm's foundation has been built on strong operations, legal, and finance
expertise. Over the last year, building our own software has proved to be the next
key component to supercharge the way we work and the quality and scale of service
we provide.

The Role

We’re hiring a Product Manager to lead the product strategy and execution of our
client portal — the central hub where clients interface with our firm: tracking their
cases, providing us the information and documents we need, and communicating with
our team. You will be responsible for developing new ways to help our clients while
driving operational efficiency and empowering our staff internally.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, action-oriented, and able to run complex
projects without heavy supervision. You will be helping several hundred thousand
clients, and their experience relies heavily on the quality of their interactions via the
client portal. This is an opportunity to provide our clients with quality care and
representation, while advancing our firm's possibilities of scale and efficiency through
software.

What You'll Do

  • Own the roadmap and strategy for the client portal.
  • Design and deliver core features such as case tracking, secure messaging,
    document upload, payments, notifications.
  • Lead a team of full-stack Ruby on Rails engineers, setting priorities and
    driving execution.
  • Communicate across several teams and regions to ensure seamless
    implementation.
  • Develop a fast-paced development culture with energetic leadership.
  • Set relevant KPIs and milestones to provide consistent feedback to team
    members.
  • Keep projects moving with clear prioritization, organized backlogs, transparent
    timelines, and cross-team accountability.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with experience building
    customer-facing apps.
  • A proven track record of delivering products end-to-end, from concept through
    launch and iteration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with experience running complex builds
    across multiple teams and systems.
  • Deep client empathy, you care about our vulnerable clients and genuinely
want to understand and help them.
  • Excellent communication, able to manage stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience managing engineers directly and fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and accountability.

Why Join Us

  • This Work Matters: We help people who have been injured secure the
    compensation and care they deserve.
  • High-Growth: We’re scaling rapidly, constantly building new tools and
    products to accelerate our mission.
  • High-Impact: Your work will directly impact thousands of people on a daily
    basis.
  • Autonomy and Ownership: You’ll be trusted to lead strategy and execution
    without micromanagement.
