About Us

Siftwell Analytics is a fast-growing company that combines healthcare operator expertise and artificial intelligence to equip managed care health plans with better insights to drive earlier and more precise health interventions for members. Siftwell was founded with a fundamental commitment to address the unique challenges faced by health plans, beginning with Medicaid, Marketplace, and Medicare plans, who are entrusted with the care of our most vulnerable and complex populations.

At Siftwell, we hire “Humble Killers” – individuals with a deep commitment to the mission, high ownership, and low ego. We are committed to providing a mutually respectful work environment where diversity and inclusion are critical to our success. We seek to recruit, develop, and retain talented professionals from a broad range of backgrounds, and to foster a culture where individuals can grow, contribute meaningfully, and thrive.

About the Role

Siftwell is seeking an experienced Product Manager to help translate the needs of health plan customers into scalable product capabilities across our healthcare analytics platform. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Customer Success, Engineering, and Data Science and will play a critical role in moving customer and market needs from insight through definition, development, validation, and release.

The ideal candidate brings meaningful healthcare domain expertise, particularly within Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, population health, quality, care management, or related payer functions, along with experience building or managing SaaS products. This person does not need to be an engineer or data scientist, but must be comfortable working with healthcare data, understanding its limitations, investigating questions independently, and partnering effectively with technical teams.

This is a hands-on Product role for someone who can move comfortably between customer conversations and technical discussions. Success means understanding the problem behind the request, translating it into clear product requirements, keeping work moving through development and release, and ensuring what Siftwell ships solves the intended customer problem.

This position reports to the Director of Product Management, is remote within the United States and operates on U.S. East Coast hours, with occasional travel for client engagement and team collaboration.

All new hires are subject to a one-time drug screening in accordance with Siftwell’s PHI compliance policies.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned product initiatives from definition through release, including discovery, requirements, acceptance criteria, refinement, development coordination, validation, documentation, and launch readiness.

  • Translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements, working directly with customers and Customer Success to understand workflows, business challenges, product feedback, and emerging needs.

  • Serve as the day-to-day Product partner to Engineering and Data Science for assigned initiatives, participating in refinement and development discussions, clarifying requirements, resolving questions, and escalating strategic tradeoffs when appropriate.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Siftwell’s healthcare data, analytics, and product capabilities and independently investigate customer data and product questions before escalating to Engineering or Data Science.

  • Review and validate completed product work against requirements and customer needs, identifying issues and helping determine readiness for release.

  • Maintain organized and actionable product work in Jira and manage supporting product documentation and release communications, ensuring requirements, decisions, dependencies, release notes, and status are clear and current.

  • Contribute to roadmap planning and product discovery by surfacing recurring customer needs, product gaps, and opportunities identified through customer and cross-functional engagement.

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Product Management (or equivalent experience as a Healthcare Business Analyst, Payer Operations Specialist, or Technical Implementation Lead paired with SaaS Product experience).

  • Meaningful experience within the payer healthcare ecosystem, with a strong understanding of health plan operations, programs, workflows, and data.

  • Product management experience within a SaaS or technology-enabled environment, including experience owning product initiatives and translating customer and business needs into clear requirements for technical teams.

  • Experience working directly with Engineering and/or Data Science teams through refinement, development, testing, and release.

  • Working knowledge of payer healthcare data and standard transaction formats (e.g. 837 medical claims, 835 remittance data, 834 eligibility/enrollment files, pharmacy claims, clinical data, quality data, and member-level data) with the ability to understand data limitations, investigate anomalies, and determine when technical escalation is needed.

  • Experience using Jira or similar product development tools and working within an Agile development environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound product decisions, and drive work forward in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, including Stars, HEDIS, HOS, quality, population health, or care management.

  • Hands-on experience with healthcare analytics, population health, and value-based care.

  • Bring healthcare domain expertise into product development, helping the team understand payer workflows, data constraints, regulatory considerations, and the real-world context in which customers use Siftwell’s products.
