The Product Manager will oversee the Square Credit Card, focusing on expense management, cardholder value, and the economic model to create a market-leading product. Responsibilities include defining strategies, collaborating across teams, analyzing performance, and understanding customer needs.
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions - to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes - large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.
The Role
We're building a premium business credit card designed exclusively for Square businesses owners. We are designing the system sellers rely on to manage spend, control cash flow, and run their business day-to-day.
As Product Manager, you will own the core of this credit card product: the intersection of expense management, cardholder value, and card economics.
You'll define how businesses track and control spending, how they earn and redeem rewards, and how the financial mechanics of the card (interchange, float, pricing, and incentives) work together to create a durable, market-leading product.
This role sits at the center of experience, systems, and economics. You'll operate like a founder: setting vision, shaping the financial model, and leading a cross-functional team to deliver a premium card that our sellers love and that scales profitably.
If you're excited about reinventing what a business credit card can be - and owning both the customer experience and the P&L behind it - this is the role.
