Who We Are

Maybern is transforming the way private fund managers effectively manage their funds through cutting edge technology: an operating system with deterministic guard rails underneath, agents on top. Maybern is founded by top engineering experts with deep knowledge of the fund management space.

Private funds manage $15T in capital and are growing at 20% YoY, but with increasing regulatory scrutiny and investor demands for transparency, the need for more modern, fully agentic solutions to help private fund CFOs is crucial.

This is where Maybern comes in.

We are equipping fund managers with a fully agentic operating system for private fund management, enabling private investment managers to focus on what they do best: driving returns for their investors. We are backed by leading venture capital firms and a large number of strategic investors.

Maybern is an NYC based company with a strong in-office culture to drive collaboration, and we are looking to make strong additions to our team.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and creative Product Manager with 4+ years of experience working on complex problems and a relentless drive to deliver excellent customer outcomes. Maybern is building the operating system for agentic fund management. Today, the trust behind a fund's numbers lives in its people's heads, so AI can help with drafts and suggestions but can't be trusted to act on its own. We move that trust into the system, with a purpose-built engine that holds each firm's settled logic as deterministic rails, and agents on top that can be trusted to do real work. You'll own a meaningful product area within that system, deciding what we build, why we build it and how we know it worked, for fund finance teams running some of the most complex, high-stakes workflows in private markets.

The ideal candidate has excellent product sense and is obsessed with delivering real value to customers. You're also a technical systems thinker who can partner with engineering on how to build something, not just what to build. You're AI-native: agents are already central to how you work every day, and you have a strong point of view on what software has to become when agents and humans are collaborating in systems.

What You'll Do
  • Owning a product area end to end: You'll set the vision, strategy and roadmap for your area and partner closely with engineering and design to take problems from discovery through launch and iteration. You'll define the metrics that show whether you're delivering value and use them to drive decisions.

  • Staying close to customers: You'll spend real time with our users, and turn what you learn into a clear, prioritized view of what would make their work meaningfully better. You'll balance user experience with business goals and break ambiguous problems into solvable pieces.

  • Building agentic products: You'll design for a world where agents do real work in our product: running the analysis, answering the follow-up, drafting the output, checking their own answers and acting with a human signing off. You'll shape how agents sit on top of our deterministic rails, define how we measure whether they're getting it right, and treat agents as first-class users of every surface you ship.

  • Working AI-first: You'll use AI to compress the product cycle, from synthesizing customer calls and analyzing data to prototyping working flows and drafting specs, and help level up how Product, Design and Engineering work together within our organization as the pace of software development changes.

  • Collaborating cross-functionally: You'll work closely with Implementation, Customer Success and Sales to ensure what we ship translates into faster onboarding, happier customers and a more durable product.

Who You Are
  • Exceptional Product Sense. You have strong instincts for what users need and what makes a product feel great. You can tell the difference between a feature request and the problem behind it.

  • Customer-Obsessed. You measure your work by the value it delivers to customers, not by output. You're relentless about closing the gap between what we shipped and what the customer needed.

  • Technical and Systems-Minded. You think in abstractions and dependencies. You may not be a software engineer, but when you see a small bug your instinct is to fix it yourself, not log a ticket.

  • AI-Native. Agents are already how you get work done, from research and synthesis to prototyping and analysis. You have hands-on intuition for what modern models and agents are good at, where they fail, and what it takes to make their output trustworthy enough to act on. You have strong opinions on how products need to evolve when agents are doing the work. You have experience writing and instrumenting evals.

  • Owner. You can take broad direction and find the best path forward. You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable wearing multiple hats.

  • Strategic. You see both the forest and the trees: think big picture, execute fine details. You can plan for the long term while making smart short-term tradeoffs.

This Could Be a Great Fit If You...
  • Have 4–6 years of product management experience, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams of engineers and designers end to end, from ideation through launch and iteration.

  • Have shipped products in complex domains where getting the details right really matters.

  • Have built with agents yourself, whether that's shipping AI-powered or agentic features, building agents and workflows that do real work for you, or both, and have opinions on how products should be designed for both human and agent users (e.g., MCP, tool use, evals).

  • Communicate clearly and collaborate well across every level of the organization.

  • Are obsessed with details and excited to "get into the weeds."

  • Experience with financial, analytical or data-heavy software is a plus, but not required!

Benefits
  • We offer a competitive salary + equity package, comprehensive benefits, and a flexible family-friendly work environment. Some of our perks include:

    • Comprehensive healthcare benefits
