As a Product Manager, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our core Salesforce platform. This role is central to our mission, directly impacting our ability to service customers, optimize workflows, and increase funding velocity.

You will work as the critical link between our business stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Risk, Marketing, Collections, Legal) and our technical development teams (Salesforce Admins and Apex Developers). You will join the Product Team to coordinate, plan, and prioritize improvements to Forward's software infrastructure.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and communicate a clear, multi-quarter product roadmap that balances new feature development, technical debt, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Prioritize competing feature requests and product ideas to ensure the team is always working on the highest-impact initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Salesforce feature requests and enhancements.

  • Proactively field, analyze, and translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable, and well-defined product requirements and user stories.

  • Write detailed JIRA tickets for Salesforce Admins (configuration) and Apex Developers (custom development), ensuring specifications are complete, testable, and aligned with the business objective.

  • Define acceptance criteria and success metrics for all features.

  • Act as the liaison between Salesforce Admins and business stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Collections, Legal). You must be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members and vice versa.

  • Contribute time to assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing to ensure high-quality releases.

  • Coordinate and communicate deployment plans with business stakeholders and the technical team.

  • Drive alignment on initiatives with stakeholders, ensuring the business is bought in on why investments are being made.

Requirements:

(Even if you don't check every box, but see yourself contributing, please apply.)

  • 2-3 years of prior product experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner.

  • Demonstrable experience with Salesforce as a Product Manager (e.g., managing a Salesforce-based platform or application).

  • Proven ability to translate high-level business goals into specific, detailed technical requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, etc.).

  • Expertise in agile development methodologies and managing backlogs using tools like JIRA or similar systems.

  • Expertise in agile software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including agile estimation/planning, building, testing, and operations.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical teams and executive-level stakeholders.

  • Preference for prior experience in the Financial Services, FinTech, or Lending industry.

Preferred (but not required) Skills & Experience:
  • Hands-on experience with specific Salesforce tooling, such as:

    • Salesforce Service Cloud

    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud

    • Salesforce Voice Cloud

    • Salesforce Einstein / AI features

  • Familiarity with B2B lending processes and the unique needs of a revenue-based financing model.

  • Having a technical degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is a plus.

Compensation:

Annual Targeted Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 USD

Annual Target Bonus: 10%
