Job Description

At OneMain Financial, we are transforming how businesses understand and serve their customers. Through our Customer Identity Platform, we unify customer profiles across journeys, devices, and channels to deliver seamless, secure, and highly personalized experiences.

We are looking for a strategic and technically adept Customer Domain Product Leader to define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Customer Profile Management. In this role, you will lead the development of OneMain’s Customer Domain, connecting various customer product and personal data into a unified, trusted enterprise solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vision and Strategy: Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Customer Profile Management, aligning initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Advocate for a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and pain points to ensure customer identity solutions deliver meaningful and impactful experiences.

  • Customer Domain Graph Development: Lead the design and implementation of the Customer Domain Graph, consolidating diverse identifiers into a reliable, unified customer profile.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data engineering, analytics, privacy, and security teams to design scalable customer profile solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, customer service, and product development to integrate and leverage these capabilities.

  • Use Case Prioritization: Identify and prioritize high-value use cases for identity resolution that drive measurable business impact across customer journeys, channels, and devices.

  • Adoption and Enablement: Advocate for the adoption of customer identity capabilities across the organization. Educate teams on best practices and showcase the value of these tools.

  • Data Quality and Governance: Analyze business processes to define data quality frameworks for identity accuracy. Partner with legal, compliance, and operational teams to establish data governance policies.

  • Product Execution: Write clear and actionable Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories to guide development. Act as Product Owner in an Agile environment, managing backlog priorities, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

  • Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs to measure success and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Monitor performance and iterate based on data insights.

  • AI/ML Innovation: Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to incorporate AI/ML capabilities for identity graph enhancements, predictive insights, and customer segmentation.

  • Compliance and Privacy: Ensure adherence to data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and security standards, working closely with legal and risk teams to mitigate risks.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage regularly with external stakeholders to provide updates, resolve blockers, and translate feedback into actionable improvements.

  • Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in customer identity, data governance, and privacy.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3+ years of experience in back-end development or building API-first as a Technical Product Lead or Product Owner with a strong focus on platform-based products.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise-level identity resolution solutions.

  • Solid understanding of software development processes, architecture, and technical concepts, including cloud computing, APIs, microservices, and integration strategies.

  • Strong expertise in data governance, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and enterprise security standards.

  • Technical proficiency with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), identity management systems, and AI/ML applications for identity resolution.

  • Excellent skills in creating Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), writing user stories, and managing Agile backlogs.

  • Ability to define and monitor KPIs, leveraging data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

  • Experience managing and mentoring product teams.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, fintech) is a strong plus.

This role is Hybrid. You should be located within a commutable distance to one of our offices located in New York City, NY, Wilmington, DE, Baltimore MD, Charlotte NC, Evansville IN, or Irving/Fort Worth TX.

Target base salary range is $120k - $150k, which is based on various factors including skills, work experience, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
