About the Role:

The Dow Jones Commercial Technology team is looking for innovative thinkers who want to build new data platforms and deploy technologies that drive our advertising business forward. In this role, you will lead the deployment of business intelligence tools, develop automated analytics processes, and connect data across multiple sources to create insightful information systems. Working within a major publishing environment, you will be at the center of our data strategy, building products that deliver business impact globally that are highly visible to the company.

Successful product managers are effective communicators and cross-team collaborators, passionate about harnessing data to elevate business outcomes. They combine intellectual curiosity with business acumen and drive execution by partnering with stakeholders in operations, marketing, and especially engineering. You will possess and continually expand your understanding of digital media, anticipate industry trends, and craft a vision for the future of a rapidly evolving business.

This role will be hybrid based in our New York City office and will report to the Product Director, Consumer Products

You Will:

  • Establish product vision and execution strategy through collaboration with advertising stakeholders in the commercial organization.
  • Collaborate with commercial operations team members to identify new products and offerings to expand partnerships and increase revenue.
  • Specify the definitions of new product specifications, user stories, and details taking a user-focused approach to product development.
  • Oversee the development, migration, deployment and maintenance of business tools and applications, ensuring they meet the needs and workflows of stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and automate data processes and pipelines to support short-term roadmap initiatives and future AI use cases.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that deliver actionable insights and workflow utility across dynamic teams and stakeholders within commercial domains.
  • Leverage data and customer insights to help the executive leadership team make data-informed decisions.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative consumer research.
  • Experience developing products that incorporate custom data visualization with intuitive dashboards.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience defining and implementing product requirements and balancing cross-function collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated success presenting compelling recommendations to senior business management.
  • A highly strategic, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Experience using and activating solutions with platforms, including BI tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker), Analytics platforms (such as Google and Adobe analytics)

Preferred:

  • Experience in digital advertising, mobile apps, and/or web-based technologies.
  • Experience as tech project, product, or program manager within Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development environments.
  • Hands-on experience with some form of software programming or data analysis
  • Experience with concepts and practices of API integration, including programming languages such as SQL and tools such as Postman.
  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehousing platforms (such as BigQuery, Snowflake) and/or Data Integration Tools (such as Airflow).
  • Knowledge of, or experience with AI practices and integrations.
  • Knowledge of advertising technology data practices and platforms such as ad serving (ex. Google Ad Manager), order management (ex. Adbook) and custom creative (ex. Celtra) is a plus.

Pay Range: $125,000 - $155,000
