Alkami is seeking a results-driven Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of our Notifications & Events Platform—the foundation enabling real-time, personalized, and secure engagement across our digital banking ecosystem. The ideal candidate will blend industry knowledge, technical acumen, and product leadership skills to drive the roadmap for event-driven services, ensuring that clients and their users experience timely, relevant, and compliant communications.This role requires a deep understanding of notification channels (push, SMS, email, in-app), event-driven architecture, and customer experience. The candidate will own the strategy and execution to make notifications scalable, configurable, and impactful for financial institutions and their end users. Key Responsibilities & Duties
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Own and manage the product backlog for notifications and events, ensuring alignment with Alkami’s platform roadmap and client needs.
Continuously refine priorities based on client feedback, regulatory requirements, and evolving engagement strategies.
Define and evolve the roadmap for multi-channel notifications, ensuring high reliability, security, and personalization.
Establish KPIs around delivery success rates, engagement outcomes, and system performance, using insights to optimize continuously.
Notifications & Event Services Development
Partner with engineering and architecture to design scalable event-driven frameworks and notification services.
Define user stories and acceptance criteria for new capabilities such as preference management, delivery tracking, templates, and audibility.
Collaborate with UX to ensure notifications enhance user journeys without creating fatigue or compliance risk.
Act as the voice of the customer by leveraging analytics, insights, and market trends to shape the prioritization of features.
Cross-Functional Product Leadership
Lead a cross-functional Scrum team including developers, QA, and UX to deliver impactful platform releases.
Act as the central liaison with Sales, Client Success, Support, and Compliance to align priorities and ensure transparency.
Drive agile ceremonies and foster collaboration across teams to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
Work closely with financial institution clients to gather input, validate designs, and communicate roadmap progress.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3+ years owning platform services such as messaging, eventing, or communications.
Experience in fintech, digital banking, or SaaS platforms strongly preferred.
Technical & Domain Expertise
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, messaging systems (Kafka, SNS/SQS, etc.), and multi-channel notification frameworks.
Experience with compliance-driven communication (e.g., FFIEC, GLBA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM).
Familiarity with notification service providers (Twilio, SendGrid, Firebase, etc.) and ability to evaluate/partner with third-party vendors.
Proficiency with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence) and experience leading Scrum teams.
Analytical Mindset & Communication
Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive prioritization and measure success.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence across business and technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering measurable client and end-user value.
Ability to translate technical complexities into client benefits and rally teams around a common vision.
