  • Write actionable user stories that drive meaningful product improvements

Product Design, Development, & Execution:

  • Write RFCs for feature enhancements and new features

  • Independently sketch first drafts of user experience designs

  • Specify platform components required to power new features, identifying where existing vs new platform capabilities are needed

  • Decompose RFCs into actionable user stories, including work that may span multiple teams

  • Track team capacity and proactively manage priorities 1-2 sprints in advance

  • Run at least two feature-sized projects in parallel

  • Provide engineers with business context and serve as first line of defense against distractions

  • Use data and analytics tools to inform product decisions

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans for feature enhancements

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement:

  • Build credibility with internal stakeholders by helping them solve for their full outcomes

  • Demo all features in your area internally and, with advance notice, externally

  • Develop working knowledge of players and developments in the wealth management space relevant to your product area

  • Manage stakeholder expectations through regular updates and timeline alignment

  • May own one or more internal stakeholder relationships

Leadership & Communication:

  • Lead feature planning and prioritization meetings

  • Articulate product requirements and decisions clearly to cross-functional teams

  • Resolve minor team conflicts and maintain positive momentum

  • Assess junior product candidates in interviews

  • Demonstrate cross-functional leadership, often persuading without formal authority

  • Mentor junior PMs, provide feedback, and build team morale

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate business requirements into actionable development work

  • Solid understanding of software development principles, APIs, and system integrations

  • Proven ability to work effectively with engineering, design, and QA teams

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and sprint planning

  • Strong communication skills with ability to adapt messaging for different audiences

  • Data-driven approach to decision-making using analytics and customer feedback

  • Understanding of wealth management, asset management, or fintech domains

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field

  • 3-6 years of product management experience, preferably in fintech or financial services

  • Experience writing technical requirements and working closely with engineering teams

  • Track record of successfully shipping software products or features

  • Experience with user research and data analysis to inform product decisions
